Your layout is 90 studs (30in) deep? If people want to be in front would be good to know soon. Jordan, I took another look and let's do reddish brown for the road not dark tan like I earlier suggested on Flickr. Sorry, I'm 2x48, so 96 studs deep

Has anyone here been able to contact the castle theme coordinator? I'm bringing a six-foot long Helm's Deep, and I want to make sure that I'll have room to set it up on Friday afternoon.

I'll ping him on Facebook also I registered the MOC and contacted both Josh and the overall Theme Coordinator through the website. I have gotten no reply, so that would be awesome if you have some other way of contacting him. Also, the only baseplates I have available for the winter collab are two 16x32s and a warped 48x48. Do you have any idea how I could unwarp a 48x48 so that I can use it? Thanks for the reply!

How badly warped is it? I'm baseplate + brick (+ plate) tall, so I wonder if just adding the brick+plate would be enough to stiffen/straighten it?

Yeah, very often just building on a baseplate will flatten it back out.
At the moment, I have the 16x32 sections of terrain from last year, and I'm looking at what other stuff we might need. Are there particular pieces that we need in order to fill out the layout? For instance, I could do some outer defensive all, maybe with some crumbling areas like it's been attacked and is being rebuilt. Or I could do some low hills / snow banks just to give a little height variation. Or other water features, like a frozen spring (small waterfall)? Basically I just need to know what we need/want, roughly how big to make the sections, and what terrain features or road segments I need to connect to.

It's pretty warped- I tried putting some bricks and plates on it, but there are places where the studs are closer together than they should be, so it's really hard to stick pieces on in some places. I'm thinking of selling it and buying a new one. I'll bring it along to BrickCon, and maybe some other AFOLs will want it. I bought it for $8 off craigslist, so I think I'll sell it for $7, which is more than half the price of a new one.

Sean, I'll post an updated WIP pic tonight. Building a strip in front of me might be tricky unless you can continue my river. I would, but I'm out of 1x2 trans dark blue. Might be able to replicate it with tiles, but at this point I'm crunched for time and am going to focus on just finishing what I've got started. Anything you want to throw in to the right of me should be pretty wide open. Jim is going to stage his stuff to the left side.

Well gents,
I was out hiking this morning, looking for a spot for a deer blind this fall, and must have come into contact with A LOT of poison ivy. My face is swollen up like Quasimodo from Hunchback of Notre Dame. My percentage of attending BrickCon just dropped from 100% to about a -20000%.

So there's no chance you'll be able to attend? I hope you get better, that really sucks.

No I don't think so. I have until tomorrow evening before I have to cancel my flight without penalty. So I am going to wait until then to see.
