Great news! Who's your real-life sig-human, Classical Bricks? Have I met you at the con before? The only other convention I've been to was Bricks Cascade this past February. I enjoyed it so much that I had to come to brickcon, too! I'm 14 years old, so on the younger side of the community. You can check out my flickr to see all my MOCs and keep regularly updated on my Helms Deep WIP that I will try to bring along! flickr.com/photos/138905279@N08/

For anyone planning on contributing to the winter layout, I'm doing baseplate plus brick plus plate, for matching at the edges purposes. Here's what I've got so far: BrickCon 2016 - WIP by Jordan, on Flickr So much yet to do!!

That's actually all of the 1x2 trans dark blue I've got! I need to order a few more to finish it as-is, though I was considering adding a waterfall at the upstream end.

I'm not sure I'll have time to build anything, so if I don't end up getting anything done, I'll just bring along some white landscape pieces and baseplates and I'll do the building there.

And I barely have any dark blue transparent tiles, so I don't think I can add to the river

That's fine. I didn't anticipate that anyone would add to it. That would be tricky.
Once I get my layout finalized, I'll post a sketch so you guys can tie in on the sides with roads, landscaping, etc.

You know Jordan, I may know a guy who might be able to loan you a few tiles if you really need them. Looks good:)

I've actually got a bag of trans dark blue 1x4 tiles also, so I can use those if needed. The present river is SNOT 1x2 bricks though.

So here's the basic layout I've got planned so far. Sorry, the rocks and castle limits didn't show up well, but those aren't really critical for coordination. BrickCon 2016 Layout by Jordan, on Flickr What I'm looking for is input from others on where you guys want to be located, relative to mine. Do you want to be on the left or right or in front (behind will not be possible due to my elevated section on the back half)? Do you want to connect a road? If in front, are you able to extend the river? I'm maxed on blue 1x2 bricks, but could potentially get another section built with tiles, though I'm crunched for time as it is. I also tentatively have my Oblivion portal to drop in here somewhere, probably on the bottom left quadrant. EDIT: Jim is tentatively going to match roads on my left side. We'll do 8 studs wide with the back edge of the road being on the 33rd stud from the back edge of the layout.

Your layout is 90 studs (30in) deep? If people want to be in front would be good to know soon. Jordan, I took another look and let's do reddish brown for the road not dark tan like I earlier suggested on Flickr.

Yeah, I think there's enough room to put someone in front if they aren't too wide, but otherwise I'm thinking we just extend to the sides.
Reddish brown for road is good for me. I'm going to cobble it a bit also with some bley and dark bley studs / tiles. Probably sparingly through the main road, and more thoroughly approaching my bridge and in front of my castle.
