Western Isles are all pretty tropical. In terms of size, we haven't really worked that out specifically yet. I'd say 1/4 of the size of the mainland would be a good guesstimate. There would be parts of Loreos that are similar in temperature, but slightly less tropical, and more arid.

Thanks AK. That helps clear up some story elements.

What is the feeling of magical items? I know that that powerful magic is restricted to the Magical Isles. I am thinking more long the lines of lighter magic where an item gives a cold sting as it cut through flesh. I am NOT longing to make a Magical weapon that brings about a nuclear apocalypse every-time it is swung.

When I see this kind of question come up I like to look back at this post from AK_Brickster. The bold was added by me You can be as magically-centered as you want. All it takes I some creativity and flexibility in the setting that your story takes place. A pilgrimage to the magic isle could be done by someone from any faction. Strong mainland magic is impossible, because the strength of magic is not tied to individuals, but rather to the manipulation of a magic field that is centered on the magic isle. That center cannot be moved, thus magic will never be powerful on the mainland. This helps to balance the game, as people can't claim to win battles all over Roawia just because they are some "super powerful wizard." The point here is anything small as long as it is written within the rules of the land (as outlined above) are fine. Anything that is a disadvantage or a villain that only affects you and helps improve the story is a winner.

Hey! Greetings from Germany!! Sorry my english is not the best...but I guess you will understand me First of all: Great idea and very great story! Just stumbled over this yesterday, ending up joining the great group of enthusiasts. I got one big question: I am a castle builder with a ton of tan coloured elements, so sandstone seems the way to go. Unfortunately I love the blue colour of Garheim!!! I also want to play with my Dwarfs but Idont like the Idea they shave...iiiks... Is it possible they hold on to the tradition off wearing beards in Loreos? Atleast a few of my Warriors are very proud on their beards and they would never ever think about shaving it Also my Dwarfs dint like riding horses...in fact with short legs it is just looking redicolous on those saddles. My Dwarven Warriors are laughing about me when I tell them they need to ride horses and camels to fit into the army standard of Loreos. You see the point? I cant decide between Loreos and Garheim. My collection clearly shouts out: go for the red coats, but cold north seems right for dwarfs, no?

Here's an idea: What about a Garhim character who's based in an embassy in Loreos? You could build in the Loreesi style, but as a representative of Garheim. Also, your English is excellent! Welcome to the forum!

Yeah that would be an Idea. But my force is more of an Army and I dont know if it would be a good idea to place an army of Garheim in the middle of Loreos😅 (At the moments it seems peaceful, but what happens if that changes again? I would need a heavy bulwark to stand the hordes...)
I do have some Ideas for Garheim and also for Loreos. I just want to use my bearded Dwarfs. They could use elephants for riding. I also have some camels and wargs but riding them with short legs? Naah...that looked very weird to me. Also my Dwarfs feature heavy plated Infantry...I did not see this kind of style in either Garheim nor Loreos.

There's plenty of flexibility in the game. I'm sure you can figure out a creative way to participate! Heavy infantry would be fine for Garheim.
Since Loreos and Garheim are currently allies against Lenfald and the Outlaws, I think a Garhim army stationed there to reinforce the border or support a Loreesi lord would be appropriate/acceptable, though I agree that dwarven camel infantry might be an odd sight! I also don't know how well the wargs would fare in the heat, with their heavy fur coats.

Yeah! That is a good idea Then they have a reason why atleast some of them don't shave their beards. It's warm ofc, but noone is complaining about heavy plated armor in the sun, so why complaining about beards? Something in my heads says to me you are from Garheim right?

I haven't been too observant of the general building style in Anderheim (Garheim's western ilse colony) but would sandstone work there? Just a thought, as the western isles are a cool place, and a colony of dwarves moving to the western isles would be neat to see (note: my army is NOT in the Western Isles, and thus wouldn't have to face a bunch of dwarves spotting tans But wherever you end up, welcome Ragni Norgrimson!

^ Also ... to let you know the Northwest portion of Loreos, namely the Morastius-Renu region is inhabited by our our own native dwarves. This is also an alternative to your issue. Again, all of these scenarios are very flexible.

Is there something like a volcano in any of the Areas? Or is it possible to discover the first western island with the volcano for a specific fraction? I like the idea of heaving a forge where i dont habe to care about enough heat. When it is not possible I probably just need to dig deep enough? Or is there some information about the core of the world?

Yeah I saw those volcanos on the map, but especially the island in the west...who does this volcano belong to?
