Premise:
Your warrior wakes up in a labyrinth, they need to be the first to find their way to the centre to escape alive.
Rules (PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE A PLAYER! Use the sign-up thread for any questions or clarifications). The are 9 players, each with a different role and different stats. The set stats (for every player) are as follows:Magic - 20 Strength - 20 Skill - 20 Health - 20 Each character recieves a bonus of +10 in their base trait (or divided over their base traits for those that have two). See below: Wizard - Magic +10 Barbarian - Strength +10 Ranger - Skill +10 Druid - Health +10 Rogue - skill/magic +5/+5 Warlock - Magic/strength +5/+5 Knight - Strength/skill +5/+5 Sage - magic/health +5/+5 Valkyrie - strength/health +5/+5 You will also gain 1 luck point for everyone confrontation you win. You can use a luck point to re-roll a dice. Each player will take it in turns to navigate the Labyrinth facing tasks (tasks may be confronting opponents or discovering treasure). Their turn will end after each task, and move on to the next player. Turn order will be randomly assigned. With each player getting a turn before re-setting at the end of the round, and the turns being randomly assigned for the next round. Tasks:Should your player confront an opponent (either a NPC with assigned stats, or another player) they will be required to submit their points to battle that opponent. These stats will be added to a roll of the dice to see who wins. The points will be resolved from highest to lowest. So starting with the opponents highest trait (be that strength or magic or skill) then working down to the lowest trait (should it be needed). Eg You meet a troll - its stats are: strength 2, skill 1, Magic 0, (health 3) Barry the Wizard submits 3 strength, 2 skill, 2 Magic. The points are 'resolved' in the order of the opponents highest, to lowest stat. Troll rolls 4 (+2 strength) = 6 Wizard rolls 3 (+3 strength) = 6 Draw. No damage to health is done on either side. Troll rolls 3 (+1 skill) = 4 Wizard rolls 5 (+2 skill) = 7 Barry the Wizard wins by 3 so the troll takes 3 damage. As he only has health of 3, he is now dead. As the troll is dead we have no need to move on to the magic stats and Barry 'regains' the magic points he submitted as they are unused. Barry the Wizard gains 1 luck point for a successful confrontation. He can save the point to use as a re-roll in a future confrontation. Story:
Each player will be required to submit their points and decisions in the forum via a short piece of creative writing something along the lines of the following example. eg Barry entered another room, just like the last. This infernal labyrinth made him feel like he was going in circles. This room however, had one major difference. In the far corner, munching on what Barry hoped was a chicken leg, was a drooling, slobbering cave troll. The troll dropped his dinner and lunged at the spiritely wizard. Troll - Strength 2, Skill 1, Magic 0, Health 3. (The player would now need to write his points submission via an in-forum reply) eg Barry nimbly leapt out of the path of the ravernous, lumbering troll. The brute's forehead smashing into the wall just behind the wizard. "Aha! Perhaps that might knock some sense into you for trying to eat a Wizard! I see you think with you stomach rather than you brain!" the wizard said mockingly. "This shouldn't be too difficult" Barry added (Barry the Wizard submits 3 strength, 2 skill and 2 magic). Please highlight your points submission in some way. PLEASE NOTE - once those points are submitted (if used) then they are deducted from your stats... so don't use too many, and don't run out!
You may come across items that restore or add points to your stats. Secret items will be revealed to you via PM. These will be added to your stats. PLEASE KEEP TRACK OF YOUR OWN STATS! I will also keep a record, but it's helpful for me if you don't need to keep asking how many you have left etc. Story to follow...

1. Arriving in the LabyrinthThe air crackled and fizzed and then in a puff of smoke and flash of light the creature appeared. He was short in stature, wore a ragged hat and his pointy teeth glinted as he grinned "Greetings oh fearless warrior!". The warrior, still in a slight daze from their unexpected arrival in this place began to approach "Where am I? And who are you?" the warrior demanded. The creature smirked, "I am Ezam, and you, fearless warrior, are in my labyrinth..." his pointy teeth revealed in a sinister grin. The warrior was unamused "I demand that you return me home!". Ezam smirked, it seemed that devious grins were his expression of choice "oh no, I've got far too much fun planned for that, you'll just have to find your own way out. First to the centre wins!" And with that, Ezam disappeared in a similar fashion to his arrival. With the creature gone the warrior now had time to take in their surroundings. It was a small stone room with four walls. There were three wooden doors on opposite sides of the room to each other, there were no windows, but the room was illuminated by a single burning torch. The warrior dusted themselves down, grabbed the burning torch off the wall and tried one of the doors. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ALL PLAYERS - INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTER. USE THE 8X8 MOC YOU POSTED IN THE SIGN-UP THREAD, OR JUST POST IT HERE IF YOU HAVEN'T POSTED IT THERE! Include a short piece of 'creative writing' about who your character is, and their reaction to the situation, written in either the 1st or 3rd person.
PLEASE ALSO STATE whether your character will take the LEFT, RIGHT or CENTRAL door.

A warrior who supplements his strength with forbidden magics, Malekk sought power from mysterious forces. A gift from his unknown benefactor, Malekk is armed with a symbiotic armor, and an obsidian sword. Besides providing protection with its chitinous plates and enhancing his physical strength, the armor has the nasty side effect of invading his thoughts with insane and violent whispers. Malekk is able to silence the foreign thoughts with his strength of will, at least for the time being... ---------------- As the puff of smoke dispersed, Malekk took in his surroundings. A stale air surrounded him, and winding dark passages snaked away from him in multiple directions. "Well this is upsetting," He spoke to himself. "I can sense the magic in this place, at least there is power here for the taking." Kill. Rip. Feast. An alien snake-like appendage bobbed back in forth tasting the air, conveying its thoughts to Malekk via a telepathic link. With a grimace he batted the thing aside, chose left, and began down the passage."

Sling Mau, commonly known as Mau, is a skill samurai, trained in the art of stealth, speed, and skill. Mau is one of the fiercest warriors of the East, having competed in and won several competitions as well as working for himself and others as a spy or assassin. After his miraculous arrival in Ezam's damp labyrinth and said fellow's introduction and disappearance he slipped into a dark corner and surveyed his companions features. Then Mau drew his Katana and leaping up grasped a bar in the decayed ceiling, using it to swing through the splintered door on the left. He did all this quickly and silently: then he sped down the corridor, keeping in the shadows...

Drinlarr was a sturdy man, with shoulders as wide as a doorframe and a thunderous footfall that shook the ground wherever he travelled. He wasn't a mindless grunt, but did tend to lean on his superior strength when confronting a foe, and was prone to fits of rage from time to time, especially when hungry. Drinlarr the BarbarianThis whole teleportation method of travel was a new experience for him, and he was still trying to figure out what in the world of Roawia was going on. One thing he knew, if this was some kind of race, he best be on his way without delay. He hefted his massive golden axe to his shoulder, and pondered for a moment which path might lead him to victory. "If it's a race to the middle, then to the middle I'll go!" And with that, he moved toward the center door...

Elias the Wizard by Mike Mercado, on Flickr Elias was a wizard of medium stature. A master wizard he had been working with his apprentice to find a cure for some ailing King. One such evenin of tinkering for a cure a flash of light and puff of smoke teleported him to a strange dungeon. As the puff of smoke cleared Elias shook his head in annoyance. "That buffoon of an apprentice. What did he do this time." As he gained his bearings, he looked around. "Hmmm, that gremlin thing did say it was a maze. Well this brings me back to the my good ole days of adventures. This will be fun. At least my incompetent apprentice is not here to screw things up." And with that he struck his staff on the ground, and as he lit he walked to the right door.

Walking among the many body's on the battle field Astrid the Valkyrie was wondering how the battle started and why. she was able wander off in her thoughts for hours and this day was no exception. Astrid was tall and muscular she had eye's like emeralds and hair so long it reached her lower back. As she was daydreaming about the great battle around her every thing changed in a matter of seconds. She knew that she got teleported but to where? There in the corner of the small room was Ezam the little pipsqueak wasn't even worthy of a name Astrid thought. Where am I she asked demandingly. you, fearless warrior, are in my labyrinth he said. not so long after that Ezam left leaving Astrid alone in the smal room. A few seconds passed before Astrid opened the left door!

Rulf the Orange by Fritziix, on Flickr Rulf is a veteran knight with a long history of slaying all kinds of creatures he came across. Even though he is a man full of bloodlust, his age is making him uninterested and tired of life ...
When the gnome dissapeared, Rulf stood up, put his back out and grimaced: "Ah, I'm just not that young anymore. Why did it have to be me, who this stinky, filthy goblin has chosen ... Well, let's not waste any more time ... " "The right doors are probably the right ..."

So at this point in the main room something magical seemingly appeared out of thin air making a strange noise as it materialized in front of 3 doors... As this big blue box just appeared the doors creaked open and out stumbles our "sage"... He is a commonly looking fellow, in a strange set of garments, and as he gains his bearings he See's 3 doors in front of him. Right now, so which to choose, he says as he claps his hands together... Right now you sexy thing... What did you get us into today, he says speaki g to the blue box. It seems we have three doors to choose from... From the inner pocket of his strange clothing he pulls what appears to be some sort of wand... As he waves this wand in front of him the end glows green and makes a high pitched squelching sound... Right then let's see... Looks like we need to chose the center door, or is it the left. At this point a young women exit's the box and says " Doctor where are we now! " I don't really know, says the doctor. but I think if we go, through one of these doors we may find out! Well which door is it, she says to him. Well it seems that we need to go through either the left or the center but something is jamning my signal... Well what do you think, says his companion? What the heck let's go left! So the doctor points his wand at the left door, we hear the squelching again and the left doors lock clicks open. They push the door open and find beyond....

The ninja known as Sling Mau took the left door, passing through it with skill and stealth. Like a shadow or a small breeze his movement and motion were almost imperceptible to the naked eye as he moved through the labryinth. Unfortunately for him, some eyes saw more than most... The Eye of Despair
The large floating eye focussed on the ninja, cutting through the shadows that he thought hid him. A strange feeling of oppression and despair began to pervade the ninja's thoughts "Why was he here? What if he couldn't escape?". He began to slump to his knees, resting against the cold stone of the wall. Magic 4 Skill 3 Strength 2
Health 9
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Josdu, please submit your points in the forum using a short story. You may also include a small 8x8 MOC of the 'Eye of Despair' if you wish. Once you've done this I'll crunch the numbers and write up the result, then move on to the next player. Deadline - Thursday if possible.

Mau quickly got back up, however, and used his minimal skill in 'magic' to fight back his unknown oppressor. He cast an orange glow around him to find and destroy whatever it was... Eye of Dispair: Magic 4 Skill 3 Strength 2 (Health 9)Sling Mau: Magic 5Skill 5Strength 3(Health 20)--------------------------------------------------------If I understand correctly, you only move on to the next power if it's a draw, if this is not so and you pass on no matter what, I'd like to change my scores submitted if okay. Still getting the hang of this. Edited, move on.

The nimble ninja sprang a surprise attack, relying on his senses rather than any ability to see what lurked in the darkness (Magic 5, dice roll of 6 = 11). The creature screamed, it's psychic powers now thrown into a frenzy (magic 4, dice roll of 3 = 7. 4 damage to the Eye!).
The Eye's scream echoed around the chamber as it thrashed it's tentacles in a fit or rage. Mau however was now invigorated by the attack, and the Eye's frantic movements made it all the more visible to the ninja. Mau raised his sword a launched himself across the small room, deftly slicing his attacker before landing back onto his feet without a sound (skill 5, dice roll of 5 = 10). The Eye's let out a blood-curdling screech, it's tentacles flailing around like whips (magic 3, dice roll of 2 = 5. 5 damage to the eye. No health remaining...). The creature screamed and faded into the shadows, the room gradually clearing of darkness to reveal only two doors. One to the right, and the one the ninja had entered through.
The ninja sheathed his sword. He didn't know quite what he had just faced, but he was sure worse challenges lay ahead.
----------------------------
Sling Mau's 3 strength points were unused (the the monster died before they were needed) so are returned to him. He receives 1 luck point for a successful conflict and 3 'gold' for submitting a 8x8 MOC before the deadline.

Rulf the Orange was disinterested in games, even more so of being magically transported to labryinths against his will. He began to mentally plot the harm that he would inflict against the being that forced him into this. He took the door to the right of his current chamber and entered another chamber almost identical to the last. Stone walls and three doors; the one he had entered through, one straight ahead, and one to the left. Apart from that the room was empty. He decided to take the opportunity to rest as he really felt too old for these ridiculous shenanigans. --------------------------------------------------------- Rulf's room is empty. He takes the opportunity to rest and add +1 health to his health.

The barbarian thundered through the central door, not caring for stealth or secrecy. His sole aim was to reach the centre of the maze as quiikly as his heavy frame would allow him. His abrupt appearance into the adjacent room sent it's occupant scuttling to a corner. The room had four doors; one to the left, one to the right, and one straight ahead. Lurking in one corner was a particularly viscious looking goblin, the sort of creature that thrived in the dark and damp conditions of the labryinth. Though vastly outsized, the goblin had no intention of yielding the treasures that it had scavenged from the room. The goblin drew a jagged sword and hissed at the barbarian. Drinlarr scoffed, and heaved his giant axe into the air. It was almost dinner, he was angry and this goblin foolishly stood between him and his next meal. Goblin Skill 4 Strength 2 Magic 1
