Lol, to a point yea... but it took me a few years to figure out that I still need to play from time to time. Once you get to be an old timer you start thinking about the "Good ol'days"

You know...I don't know if we ever bothered with asking people where they are from. Most of the members of LoR I suspect are in the US...but out of curiosity it would be neat to really point out where we are from. Me...I'm from Canada... Most people suspect this is Canada. Or this... The reality is... we are the most liked Nation in the world. Who like to think we are good friends with our neighbors to the south.

Me...I'm from Canada... Who like to think we are good friends with our neighbors to the south. Canada... isn't that an island country in the Caribbean Sea?Oh, wait no, it's one of those Yankee States up North.... Meanwhile, I am from Old Dominion. And to be fair, here is a meme on my state: True dat!

Well folks, I'm originally from the enormous, bustling metropolis of Fuquay-Varina, NC (originally Fuquay Springs, town of the magic water- seriously!). I'm currently stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia but will be returning to North Carolina in just a few weeks. Whenever I say the name of my hometown I get this look:

I would give you my exact city in Eastern Kentucky, but not even mapquest knows where it is at... well, that may be a bit of stretch, but you get the idea.
Our population is less than 600... literally. The closest mall is over an hour away! My closest LEGO store is 3 1/2 hours away, one way. We have one McDonalds and one redlight in the whole city.
Welcome to fancy living, I say. You poor city slickers, hyuck, hyuck, hyuck.

I'm from North Texas. I grew up in Gainesville, TX which was recently named 'most patriotic small town in America'. I call BS but they do host medal of honor recipients for a pretty moving display every year. I live a little closer to Dallas now but I still work in my hometown.
Texas has an interesting reputation. We have a ridiculous amount of pride which galls the other states but seems oddly charming internationally. When I travel overseas and someone asks where I am from, I get a far better reaction from saying 'Texas' than 'the US'. (I may or may not slip into a false drawl.)

I'm from a small town on the southern tip of New Jersey. It's a huge tourist destination. You may have heard of Wildwood or even Stone Harbor and Avalon. All within 15 minutes of me. And Cape May is about 25 minutes.

Marlton, New Jersey here. Around a 30min drive to Philly. I'm lucky because I have 3/4 different Lego stores in my area that I can go to within an hour(One in Delaware, so no tax!)

Hmm...guess I should have given specifics. Well I'm originally from Regina, Saskatchewan. Which is probably one of the best places to live in Canada. It's also the home of the RCMP and the Training Academy. Currently the city is ranked as the Cultural Capital of Canada as it has the highest culture ratings in our nation which says quite a bit about the character of the City itself. The province is also the home of the world famous Snow Birds which are based out of CFB Moose Jaw (NATO Training Base). Regina is also home to the worlds longest bridge over the shortest span of water, which was actually built out of materials imported from Egypt and contains authentic Egyptian Obelisks along with stone carvings of Queen Victoria. Its also considered the Capital of the West as it was the old Capital of the North West Territories. Further, the City is home to our football team from the CFL called the Roughriders. And yes...that's a dancing Gopher. and for the humour of things...google search "Saskatchewan - Funny" I assure you the things that pop up will have you splitting with laughter. After all the Province is home to towns called Dildo, Climax, Bigger (Everything is bigger in Bigger), Tisdale "Land of Rape and Honey" which comes from Rape Seed (Original name of Canola). Where do I live now... Well I live in the Ottawa area, Canada's Capital

And Cape May is about 25 minutes. I did some beach restoration work over there and we were based out of Wildwood. That was my first exposure to a "Boardwalk". We were there off-season, but still interesting!

Well I live in the Ottawa area, Canada's Capital I have to give you Cannucks props. I've been to Ottawa twice, both over the July 1st weekend and obligatory Canada Day celebration. It was awesome both times. The second time, in 1998, I took my wife and we stayed at a hotel overlooking Parliament. I knew Ottawa was amazingly clean, but after wandering around on Canada Day with all the other celebrants, with the trash and litter everywhere, I figured, well there's no way they'll get all this clean any time soon... I was awoken on July 2 at 0400 by machines, looked out and there was an army of street sweepers out there. THe next day walking around Parliament and downtown I looked for anything. Nothing, cleaner than any American city I have ever seen. Not. One. Cigarette butt. Impressive!
