"A quick escape"
Look Sir Garhims!
"Where are those Lenfels I though they were going to meet us here"
"Phhfft they probably ran away at the first sight of the enemy"
" Silence! I know we all don't have the best history with them but they are our allies so we will respect them "
" yes sir... "
"Thomas! Our scouts have returned "
" Well? "
" There's fighting up ahead we must hurry if we are to save them"
" Lenfels? "
"No sir Garhims, they're hopelessly out numbered and there are women and children among them "
" Ready the men we leave immediately! "
" What about the Lenfels? "
" Stay here and wait for them.
Lets go men, follow me! "
We broke cover from the trees and ran across a smoldering field, rounding a hill a terrible sight awaited us.
Three Garhim warriors where protecting a small group of villagers from at least 20 of the queens men a river to their backs. I stopped and stared hopelessly at the struggle, There was nothing that we could do with out the Lenfel archers for we where on the opposite bank. Then I heard a shout from, Sir Issac the knight I left behind to wait for the Lenfels he was running in our direction I couldn't make out what he was saying but I got the message, when he fell an arrow was protruding from his back. More outlaws under the Queens banner were emerging from the woods.
Now we were in the same deadly situation as the Garhims on the opposite bank, then the idea struck me.
" You there with the blue helmet and the ax cut down that tree behind you hurry! "
He looked in my direction and seeing that we where the good guys he did so the tree fell across forming bridge connecting the banks.
" Hurry Get across! "
My men had already begun to wipe out the Queens men on our side of the bank. Now there was only one Garhim villager and the three warriors left on the opposite bank.
Then I saw it a beserker thundering towards the Garhims.
" Hurry get across the bridge quick before the beserker reaches you! " I shouted
Then a tragedy happened as the last villager was crossing I accidentally bumped into the makeshift bridge stopping a outlaw from destroying it, causing the Garhim to loose his balance and plunged into the icy river.
" NO! "
I turned to see the three Garhim warriors get cut down by the beserkers ax.
I turned and ran with the rest of my men and the few Garhims we saved...
