I forgot to make a thread for this; I posted it in the main thread .
GC VII Through the Back Door by (Yorick) Will Hafner, on Flickr
Yorick got to the coast several hours after the Dragon Knight Scout attacked. His guide left, but told Yorick, "Don't bother about paying me. I know that you are going after the queen, and that is service enough. When you come back, find me at the Golden Dragon Inn. I'll help you get back up to Hoarfrost, also free of charge."
Yorick couldn't thank him enough, but he didn't have much time. The counteroffensive against the queen was happening soon.
On the coast, Yorick saw a Lenfald archer, and a Lorean knight. They told him that no room was left. Yorick's little boat could take both of them, if they didn't care about personal space. They were relieved. The Lenfald was named Green Sparrow; he changed his name after the Dragon Knights ransacked his house, and killed his family. The Lorean was named Marvin the Valiant. Marvin had no family, and his regiment fell defending a city from the Dragon Knights. He was captured, but Green Sparrow and some other freedom fighters rescued several prisoners from one of the Queen's many prisons, Marvin being one of them. They both decided they would go after the Queen and her knights.
The pair boarded Yorick's boat, and they headed over to the queens castle. The company got lost, and barely found the island, they almost crashed their boat on the rocky shore. Unfortunately, they didn't find the main entrance to the fortress; but they did find a secret passage on the back of the castle, hidden within a secluded bay. The door that led into the fortress was very small; the entrance could only be an emergency exit for the Queen, the wizard, and their personal guards.
As they crossed the bridge, the door opened and some heavily armored Dragon Knights exited the gate, with swords drawn up. Yorick, Marvin, and Sparrow didn't know how many of the Dragon knights were within this section of the fortress; but they did know they had a change to defeat the knights within this section. The gate was only large enough for a singe Dragon Knight could get out of the fortress at a time, so the three of them could probably hold the bridge...
