LoR guild build 2 - Learning the tools of the trade by Pyro5050, on Flickr After his last adventure on a boat Phy was not about to let the fates play tricks on him again. Flying off one waterfall was enough, and with the way his luck had gone, he would find a bloody waterfall in the middle of the ocean. "Maps are only good if you can see the land" muttering as he checked the newly acquired telescope. He didn't ask where it came from, he didn't really want to know, but the blood stains on the base of the stand say that it probably was not purchased. Grabbing the handheld spyscope, Phy admired the work of the goblins, they had quickly turned this ruined tower into a nice little study for him. carved table legs, chain handrails on the crumbled stairs, they cleared a small path from the right of the ruins to allow him up. "this must have been an old watch tower from before the old wars, probably Loreesi build in it's day" The native plants had taken their toll on the smooth walkway, the stairs, the tower, the foundation. when the wind blew, the stones groaned as they stressed against each other. "Knowledge is power, and power bring money" he said quietly as he turned to the map table once more. photo with no lighting extra. by Pyro5050, on Flickr The map laid on the table, contemplative Phy working on gaining his skill. by Pyro5050, on Flickr some of the vegetation around the ruins overtook the stairs and cover the crumpled stone by Pyro5050, on Flickr crumpled stone surrounds the tower by Pyro5050, on Flickr ALSO: if the guild leaders are ok with it, i would love to attempt to have a third entry this month, if not i am ok, i am just moving Phy's story fairly rapidly and i stopped playing video games as much so more building time. also personally i feel my build style and skill is improving drasticly over the last bit, i am spending more time building small details rather than trying larger builds, my waterfall build and Assassin build for the brawls really showed me how the smaller scale can be amazingly useful. sadly, as a naval guild entrant, i need to build some larger builds, already started my ship and the harbour i am about to visit for the next level. i also have a question about the build rules, although i am aware we cannot use these build for freebuilds, LC, GC's ect, and we want to expand our building skills with these, the naval guild is the only one that 'essentially' requires a builder to use the same elements (his ship) in multiple builds, will i be able to use my same ship in the builds? i am asking because my ship should be able to arrive at a dock and i should not be penalized for the ship being the same in my opinion, but the harbour should be the "next guild level build"

Your same ship can be featured in multiple entries, provided all of the criteria for that challenge are also met.

Post by Sir Caedric Moore on Feb 28, 2015 6:55:28 GMT -8
(LoR) Hero's Guild A3 - Standoff in Stonehedge"Caedric!" the green-clad soldier grinned, offering him a firm handshake. "Good to see you, brother." "You got my name right!" Caedric replied, clapping the younger man on the back. "And we're brothers, now, eh Baelion?" "Aye - You've proven that in deed; I've got your back and you've got mine. That's more than can be said of the Loreesi, as of late." "What news from the south?" Caedric asked, puzzled."Your falcon took flight in that last squall and she hasn't returned. I have had no news in days, save what Erin has told me." "So this is the lovely Erin," Baelion grinned, turning his attention to the Garhim lass.
"M'lord," Erin smiled, with a curtsey."Ah, Caedric, you old rascal - you always did attract the fairest of maidens. But enough of levity. Word from the south is that the Usurper Queen is dead; succumbed to that wizard's treachery." "And may her black soul never reach the land of our ancestors," Caedric spat, hatred dripping with every word. "I'll not soon forget that wench's hospitality." "Well, that 'wench''s daughter is still alive, and young Chartres - the King to be - has taken a fancy to her. Can't say that I blame him; word tells she's easy on the eyes. But to bed and wed the Dragon? Beauty she might have, but Dragon's blood flows in her veins." "You think she ought not be trusted?" Erin asked."Nay, and my Lord Triphian agrees. He spoke his mind in the council chambers, albeit with a hot temper. Neither Chartres nor Lorean paid my Lord any heed. That Loreesi Prince practically has the boy at his beck and call, whispering this and that into his ears. Who knows what words Chartres speaks are his own?" "I'll take it Jarl Eindrik sided with Triphian, then?" Caedric queried."Nay, Caedric - they say he smiled at the prospect of young love. Have no worries, though. Word has it Lord Triphian stated specifically that he bears no ill will to Garheim or its people. But alas, I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm glad you got my falcon - my city is beset by thieves, once again. Dragon soldiers, either those still loyal to the dead Queen or merely dogs who stole the armor of dead Queen's Men - ransacking and pillaging. They attack from a different side of the town every night; a small contingent of them. My men have been unable to stop them - many families have lost their homes and valuables. That's why I've sought you out, my friend." "Your note was vague, Baelion. I've brought no men with me." "But you've brought your axe - and the shield-maiden, too. I know you, Caedric; you and I can take these scoundrels, if we work out a plan." "Well," Caedric smiled, glancing at his fiance. "What do you have in mind?" -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- A lone watchman sat atop the southern gate of the stone-walled city, dealing himself a hand of cards in the flickering glare of torchlight. The other city gates had been closed tight, yet the south gate had been left wide open, taunting the Queen's Men or Dragon Knight imposters into attacking from the south - regardless of when they decided to attack, all anonymity of their strike would be forfeit. Not many men remained in Baelion's city guard, but Lotho was one of the best. A grizzled veteran of numerous wars, Lotho had worn the proud green of the Lenfald Scout Snipers for decades, eventually settling down in the little walled-city of Stonehedge, hemmed in by the stone crenelations that gave the town its name.
"Cold one tonight, eh Rocky?" Lotho asked the hound to his left, who merely whined once before returning to the bone he was working on. "Bah, what am I askin' you for? You don't care. Yeh're like those Garhims, come to town this morn. You love the snow. But that's not why I gotcha out here tonight. Eh buddy? Yeh're gonna hear them Queen's Men before I see em, and I'm gonna signal Captain Baelion when you do." Lotho smiled and rubbed the hound on his head. "Good boy." -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- "There's the signal," Baelion whispered, motioning to the ramparts where Lotho was waving his cloak in front of a torch. "Aye, let's move," Caedric replied, nodding to Erin and the three Lenfels that accompanied them. Baelion had few men to spare, but numbers wouldn't matter if their plan worked. They moved in unison, swiftly and quietly passing between houses, ever in the shadows as they made their way to the gate. Once they were in position, Baelion signaled back to Lotho with a whistle, who then drew an arrow dipped in pitch from his quiver and lit it with the torch to his right. With a twang, the arrow took flight, arcing over the heads of the Dragon knights and illuminating the cobbled road for a few moments."Twenty-three," Caedric thought. "Seven against twenty-three, Erin," Caedric grinned. "Aye; I like those odds." With a yell, the hidden party ran towards the Queen's Men, as another party emerged from the surrounding landscape, circling the assailants.
"Leave this place!" Baelion yelled, glaring at the lead Dragon knight, green and yellow pennants draping from his wooden spear. "Your Queen is dead - you have no business here." "'Oo are you to say what business we 'ave 'ere, eh?" the Queen's Man responded. "Your paltry little party aint gonna be enough to stand against us, Frog. Not even. Now 'and over your gold and maybe we'll leave nice-like." "You've dug your own graves, you swine," Baelion growled. "Archers! Open fire! For Lenfald!" "Garheim!" Caedric and Erin yelled in unison, rushing towards the group of Dragon knights. Lotho and another archer rained down a steady hail of flaming arrows from the ramparts, and the combined Lenfels and Garhims fell upon the rest like lightning from on high.TO BE CONTINUED... -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- My third Apprentice build for the Hero's Guild! Can people who are missing entries on the scoreboard please list which ones are missing with links? This will make it easier for Joe to add them to the board instead of having to double-check the whole thread.
Thanks!

Congrats BrickNinja!
I applied for the assassins guild and I was wondering if I could drop that application and join another guild instead?
