The Valiant Knight by Mark of Siloam, on Flickr My latest build! Every bold knight must rescue a damsel in distress in order to be truly chivalrous. This brave fellow is going to need good balance and an incalculable amount of courage to make his way up the centuries-old tower. __________________________________________________ I was going to make the tower taller, but it was a huge pain towards the end and I could hardly manage to build it as tall as it is. That style of tower seems to drain building motivation. Anyway, most of the tower was fun to build and the rest was great also. Especially the rocks, those were interesting. More pictures on my flickr.

Wow, that tower looks super precarious. I can see what it sapped your enthusiasm. Nice build though.

That's no tower. It's a cloud of rubble temporarily in a state of suspended animation! A word of advice to the knight - find a different princess, dude.

Tho is only the second time I've seen this technique used (I'm assuming they are similar). Is it...round... or something like it? I can't tell from the picture and the thing bewilders me. It's a beautiful build, the rockwork is great and my favorite part is the tree stretching out over the water.

I think the reason the damsel is in distress is that her tower's about to fall apart.

Thank you everyone! str0ngbad I actually posted a picture of how I did the tower on my flickr. But flickr was kind enough to post a detail pic as the main one so few people saw the main one or the technique behind it. Valiant Knight-back of tower by Mark of Siloam, on Flickr

That definitely does not meet modern building codes. Who did your structural inspection prior to occupancy???

I am impressed and horrified. That would not meet the most primitive resemblance of a building code...

Oh, yeah. Building codes, we, um... Well I , *cough* forgot to... wait a minute! That's why we're evacuating it. Had that all planned. Thank you all for your kind words.

Wow, that tower must've taken some serious work. And the leaning tree is a perfect touch. Awesome job.
