I'm loving this new LC - but seeing as this is abut farming, I think 32x32 is a little too small a footprint. Animals and crops in any higher numbers need much space, maybe allowing for 32x64 as maximum for the base would allow us to show a proper field and incorporate a building or two? Thanks, glad you like it. I agree and was actually thinking of allowing larger builds when I drafted it, so as there's interest, we can expand it. Sir Caelan Munro : We're still talking about a roughly Restricted size range, so I think we should simply expand the maximum size to 72x32/48x48 (or an area of 2,302 studs.) I don't think we need another category unless anyone is interested in going larger than that. "So let it be written, let it be done!"SaveSaveSaveSave

sir Kejtar - Mages Guild - Apprentice - 3 As sir Kejtar has been becoming more and more aware of his skills he was going through all of the old books that spoke about the healing powers and other various skills associated with his new discovered power. One of the books mentioned the crevice of power. It seems that one of the mountains on his lands has a rock formation that when appropriately stimulated with healing spells would glow all sorts of colors. This was supposed to be how the teachers of old verified that the mage initiates were skilled enough to start practicing their healing craft on actual patients. His curiosity piqued, he did more research and learned that there were three skills required to pass the test against the wall. He studied the incantations which was not easy as the necessary inflections were hard to learn from books but he was not one to give up easily. After months of practice and study his fourth attempt at the rock formation he saw blue lightning stretch out from his fingers and tickle the wall gently. He felt a sense of accomplishment as he was rewarded with a slow glow which spread through the crevice in the rocks. This was a welcome sign as well as a disturbing one. Now that he knew that he could do it, he realized that with that came a very big responsibility as trying to heal someone who was gone to far could have fatal repercussions as even with magic there is a certain balance that cannot be broken. If a dying man was healed and brought back from the edge of a grave magic would take another life to keep the balance in check......

So I ignore this group for two weeks and what do you do? You spring a Local Challenge on me! Great job Kingdomviewbricks ! Lenfald Local Challenge XXV - Feeding a Nation The Crop of His DreamsStory on Flickr. The challenge said crops and I visualized right angle uses for plants. Then I red the instructions again and it said animals that can live in forests like hogs. Thanks to Lego Lord of the Rings I love Lego pigs. And this is the first chance I have had to use them! Enjoy! Edit: +2 points, KVB 3 Feb

Announcing the Winner - Local Challenge XXV - Feeding a Nation thecornerbuilder's 'The Crop of His Dreams' The Crop of His DreamsThis is an uncontested win, (as she apparently scared away the competition, ) but nevertheless well deserved! Congratulations thecornerbuilder ! You had a superb entry, and your technique for crops and soil is innovative and effective. Points added.

February Free Build There was uneasiness in the air. The animals were spooked, unusual people are traveling through the back roads doing anything and everything to avoid detection. Sir Kejtar was concerned with the reports that he was getting. Most of all people living under his protection were spooked and with the premise of "where there's smoke there's fire" he figured that there might be some truth to the reports. Being a sound military leader he sent out scouts to investigate. He put their efforts under Jules'. She coordinated their efforts and after 3 days she had both something and nothing to report. The something was the shadows, the left trails, the damage left behind and the fear. The nothing had to do with no actual sightings of the culprits. This frustrated Jules as she has never came up that empty handed. She knew that there was something there but had nothing tangible to show. Understanding that both good news and bad news have to be reported immediately she had no qualms about interrupting Sir Kejtar and Lady Olik as they entertained Hlena. She knew that when she walks in, Sir Kejtar will know what it is about and will either ask her to come back later, dismiss Hlena or ask for a report. Turned out that Sir Kejtar was anxious for the report and didn't mind Hlena hearing it. When she started reporting on what she found Sir Kejtar furrowed his brow and grew concerned. He recognized the danger of not dealing with the problem immediately. He asked Jules if she was able to march out immediately and take a bigger force to secure the lands. Without missing a beat sergeant Tomza spoke up - "I'll get the troops and your mount ready" and stepped out. That left Sir Kejtar, Lady Olik, Hlena and Jules all alone. Hlena spoke up - Sir Kejtar - I heard some interesting things as I traveled here. Actually this strange woman asked me for protection and joined my party. I think that you should speak with her in private before Jules marches out. Sir Kejtar asked one of his guards to find the woman that Hlena spoke of Braba was the name of the woman. She spoke of ancient evil, of raiders and while she didn't give any concrete evidence she seemed to be able to corroborate a lot of what Jules got whispers of. FreeBuild 2 It was three days since Jules left Sir Kejtar's keep. Chasing down stories and clues led her to an old abandoned keep. She didn't even remember about its existence until she came nearly upon it. When she reached the keep she expected to see the ruins but to her surprise she came upon a fully restored gate and guards standing in front of it. Even though she came upon a superior force she did not hesitate to approach. As she walked up with her two companions swords in hand the guards did not move. The seven sentries did not move. She called out to their apparent leader but he did not respond. It was a true standoff. Jules took the scene in and got even more worried. The ruins were flying Lenfel colors but the sentries were definately not Lenfel. And then it got dark That was it - Jules decided it's time to make a strategic withdrawal and observe - there is always a tomorrow. Edit: +2 points, KVB 1 Mar
