Magnificent ship AardWolf ! The hull shaping and interior particularly are superb. I've awarded three points instead of one as a reward for an outstanding guild entry.

The Bignette finalist tie-breaker poll is currently tied, which really won't help much. If you have not yet done so, please vote in the poll linked below. VOTE Tie-breaker

VOTE Tie-breakerWell this is the first time this has happened...and it's between the FO and FL too...hmmmm, what to do? If no one else votes in the week, then we should discuss it with a PM... Thanks for the extra points!! Magnificent ship AardWolf ! The hull shaping and interior particularly are superb. I've awarded three points instead of one as a reward for an outstanding guild entry. And it got Brothers Brick as well! Much deserved Aaron!! SaveSaveThank you very much Gary! They even gave the post an alliterative title, as I am so prone to do with my builds. I don't know if that was intentional, but I still thought it was very fitting. That means then that both win and get same score, points, credit. I agree that a tie should result in the same personal points, but we'd still have to choose one to represent us in the finals. This might be a bit radical, but what if we let Ayrlego cast the deciding vote, if it comes down to it? Though he's a filthy traitor, I think he could be trusted to make an honest choice for us

We did have one "vote off" and it seems that both participants will stay on the island

Though he's a filthy traitor, I think he could be trusted to make an honest choice for us Too darn funny And the fact that David didn't really want to cross over makes that even funnier Well ...We did have one "vote off" and it seems that both participants will stay on the island You two are on a roll SaveSa Michael and I are currently discussing options...Having David decide is one option, or I could just drop out. I've already had lots of Lenfald Glory /

Filthy traitor??? I am the one loyal to the one true king of Roawia and his most gracious Queen, who's good name has been maliciously and constantly slandered simply because of who her mother was. Lord Stanton's mother was rumoured to be a fishmonger... (actually I just made that up, but it's a rumour now! ) but we don't hold that against him!!! And I'm pretty sure no one even know's who Lord Meyrick's mother was... And the fact that David didn't really want to cross over makes that even funnier What do you mean didn't want too??? I've been waiting for a chance to jump ship for ages! All you frog-lickers do is whine about freedom or some such nonsense. Your precious liberty won't feed the starving peasants will it? Only glorious Loreesi grains can do that! --- Seriously though, looks like we have the same issue with the bignette finalist in Loreos. Currently mattiusxavier and I are tied in the tie breaker with the poll due to close tomorrow (I think). Maybe you guys could choose our finalist and we choose yours??? Just an idea. Or I could sneak back into the private forum and cast a secret vote... but now I've said that it wouldn't really work would it!!!

Whoa there! Who let him back in here? We have arrows for that kind of talk. Your precious liberty won't feed the starving peasants will it? Only glorious Loreesi grains can do that! Funny you should mention that. IS HE RIGHT LENFELS? Announcing: Local Challenge XXV - Feeding a Nation
In the slow but devastating wake of Chartres’s tariffs on grain from Loreos, agriculture in Lenfald has become more important than ever before. Many families cannot afford the increased prices on wheat, and others are unwilling to pay the taxes of a foreign king. Smuggling is too expensive and dangerous to fully make up the difference, so Lenfald must grow its own food on a new scale. Farmers across the nation are clearing land and growing more crops, as well as experimenting with newly discovered ones. Lenfald’s hardiness and ingenuity is being tested once again in this war to maintain independence, a war fought not with the sword, but with the plow. The Challenge- Show in a build how Lenfel farmers are meeting the demand by growing new crops or raising more livestock. Entries should be focused on agriculture and activities directly related to growing food. - Consider how Lenfald's terrain and climate will affect farming: for example, you might show new crops such as the potato that are better suited to the climate, farmers clearing trees and pulling stumps for new farmland, or hogs or other livestock that can be raised in woodland. Structures may be included, but the focus should be on the crops, so cattle sheds, corn cribs, and other specifically agricultural buildings are preferable to generic farmhouses. - This effort is a struggle, so portraying failure (due to climate or other causes) is also acceptable. Not all the new crops will succeed. The Rules - Minimum size is 16x16. - Maximum size is 72x32/48x48, (an area of 2,302 studs or less.) An additional 2 studs on each side for a border is permitted. - One entry per person. - The faction banner must be included in your build either digitally or in LEGO (or both if you wish). The Rewards - Each entry will receive two points. The winner will be awarded an additional three points. The Deadline- Entries must be submitted in this thread before 23:59 (any timezone) 5th Feburary. Feel free to ask any general questions you have in this thread, or PM me with specific ones.

I'm loving this new LC - but seeing as this is abut farming, I think 32x32 is a little too small a footprint. Animals and crops in any higher numbers need much space, maybe allowing for 32x64 as maximum for the base would allow us to show a proper field and incorporate a building or two?

You have a point. Kingdomviewbricks what do you think? Should it be 32x32 on up, or should there be another category?

Thanks, glad you like it. I agree and was actually thinking of allowing larger builds when I drafted it, so as there's interest, we can expand it. Sir Caelan Munro : We're still talking about a roughly Restricted size range, so I think we should simply expand the maximum size to 72x32/48x48 (or an area of 2,302 studs.) I don't think we need another category unless anyone is interested in going larger than that.
