You can blame the late voting on all the tree hugging the Lenfels pride themselves upon. They were too busy itching their hipster goatees on all that tree bark to notice that they needed to vote.

I am aware of the fact that asking for results can be annoying and is being punished sometimes (I think AK_Brickster still has his Gong Farmer Overseer title over at classic-castle), but I dare to ask: what's with the polls, who won? Cheers Adam

The final votes are all visible as the polls have now closed (that may have been accidental). So looks like a 2-1 win for The Outlaws! (is that their first GC win?) I'm going to hazard a guess a lot of people are taken up with the CCC. Yes, I knew that the deadline was last friday and checked the results, but I am not sure how the final score is determined. As an outlaw I would be fine with a 2-1 win, and I think you are right, this would be our first one. As for the CCC: I was hoping that there will be a GC parallel to the CCC like last year to boost participation for both contests. Cheers Adam

Cheers Adam I think AK said there would be, hope it gets underway before I upload all my cool entries to the CCC though (I actually already have four more builds done, but two are for the LC so I plan on uploading them soon; been waiting because of technical difficulties)!

The final score for the GC is somewhat independent of the individual category winners, as participation points factor heavily into it. I'm no longer part of the KC, but I expect they will post those results soon!

Cheers Adam We're still factoring the final scoring results and trying to work out something to pair with the GC. The end of this GC just kind of fell at a point where not a lot of us in the KC had a ton of time to sort out the results and rapidly plan another GC. BUT, we are steadily working on both I hope that we're able to post the GC results soon as well.

Announcing the Global Challenge XI - The Grand Discovery Winners!Sorry for the long wait guys and gals. Extremely busy...real life stuff...yadayadayadda...just tell us who won already! Bignette Winner - Outlaws: Echoes by Zach Bean! (Seems like a cool guy. Should probably take better pictures though.)
Restricted Winner - Outlaws: The Green Dragon Inn by Fritzix!
Unrestricted Winner - Garheim: Arandin Fortress by str0ngbad! Congrats everyone!Ok, now to the nitty-gritty point totals. Here's just a reminder of the point breakdowns...in case you're wondering. - 2 points for every Bignette anyone in your faction completes and enters - 3 points for each Restricted - 5 points for each Unrestricted - Winning a category = 5 points for each win - The winner of most amounts of votes wins a TOTAL of an additional 5 points, not a point per vote - And finally whoever actually wins these points gets another 10 point boost in their final score for winning Participation rate, not votes per entry, is the key as Gary graciously pointed out to us during the last GC. 4.) Coming in 4th place in the GCXI with 32 points; Loreos.
3 X 5 Unrestricted = 15 3 x 3 Res = 9 4 x 2 Bignette = 8 Total = 32 3.) Coming in 3rd place in the GCXI with 45 points; Garheim.
3 x 5 Unrestricted = 15 5 x 3 Res = 15 5 x 2 Bignette = 10 (Build Total = 40) +5 Unrestricted Winner Total = 45 2.) Coming in 2nd place in the GCXI with 54 points; Outlaws.3 X 5 Unrestricted = 15 4 x 3 Res = 12 6 x 2 Bignette = 12 (Build Total = 39) +5 Bignette Winner +5 Restricted Winner +5 Most Votes Total = 54 1.) Coming in 1st place in the GCXI with 73 points; Lenfald.
7 x 5 Unrestricted = 35 6 x 3 Res = 18 5 x 2 Bignette = 10 (Build Total = 63) +10 Point Total Winner Total = 73 Loreos: 32 Garheim: 45 Outlaws: 54 Lenfald: 73Current faction standings: Lenfald - 73 Loreos - 32 Garheim - 45 Outlaws - 54 Gary tried to tell us, but now we've witnessed how important participation can be in the GCs. Lenfald didn't even win a single category but still placed 1st off pure participation points. The plus 10 only secured the win in the end. The KC has discussed new rule changes that are soon to be finalized because this system no longer works as intended. But, congrats to Lenfald. They did build a ton of fantastic entries. A Global Storyline update should be coming soon, as well as an official announcement on the GC point system changes.

Thanks for the update Zach Bean. However I think I may have missed something??? With LoR 2.0 weren't all the faction scores meant to be re-set to zero - thus making previous GC not count??? Maybe I understood that wrong - I mean not that it matters too much as Lenfald still dominate anyway!

Ayrlego You are completely correct. I've edited the thread now. Thank you. My brain is a little fried from making small talk with extended family all day long.

Certainly not being a sore loser, but I'm grateful that the rules are being changed. Even though I was on the KC, I guess it never dawned on me just how valuable participation was/is.
Wish the system could have been implemented before this. These results are rather disheartening and a buzzkill to say the least.

Wish the system could have been implemented before this. These results are rather disheartening and a buzzkill to say the least. As I saw the voting results I thought that we outlaws might win this one for the first time ever. Or maybe come in second behind Garheim. It was too good to be true. Here are some numbers: GC XI: - Loreos: 10 entries
- Garheim: 13
- Outlaws: 13
- Lenfald: 18
GC X: - Loreos: 15
- Garheim: 13
- Outlaws: 14
- Lenfald: 26
Lenfald's turnout is unbelievable. If only I could say that they win because they favour quantity over quality, but this is obviously not true. I honestly don't know what could motivate someone to participate under the current points system... Just declare Lenfald as the winner of future GCs already. Cheers Adam

Well, I knew how important it was, but I still hoped we could pull off the win, oh well. At least it'll be changed now, and I've always built three entries so it ain't my fault .
