In a land called Lenfald, in the western mountain region there is an old keep. In its heyday, it was the seat of the lord who governed the whole region. As times have passed though, villages and towns distanced themselves from the local lords. Surprisingly enough it was not due to any taxes or tributes but rather due to hardheadedness of the locals "we can manage on our own" seemed to be a common thread. In recent history the separation of local villages and towns from the keep can be traced to sir Ulrich's attempt to eradicate bloodline of the keeps rightful owners. Thankfully he did not succeed in that task though he did manage to drive away all but three of the local villages but more on that topic later.
Getting back to the topic of the keep. As it was already stated, it is an old keep and it is called Wiezyca. The name comes from the tower in its southwestern corner. It is also at times called by the locals as Kaszebe, though that is a very informal name as it really is the name of the region. The keep sits in the mountain region and is built on solid bedrock. This makes it very defendable. Some keeps have been built out over the years making them bigger and bigger but the lords of Wiezyca never saw the need to built out the keep. Inside the keep there is a natural spring - supplying the inhabitants with very tasty water for drinking and brewing. The keep is famous for its beers and ales. Some also claim that there is a secret entrance from the keep to the mountain cave system but noone can point to any caves or secret entrance making this claim more of an old wives tale.
Currently Sir Kejtar is the lord of the keep. He has reclaimed his rightful seat from sir Ulrich after coming back from exile. Now this sounds easier then it really was. He could not stand up to sir Ulrich by his lonesome. He had to raise a host and fight for what was his. Unfortunately he did not get to avenge his father as sir Ulrich in an attempt to escape the siege fell from the battlements and died on the spot.
As lord of the keep, sir Kejtar's main job is the safety of the region as well as making sure that the ale and beer production is uninterrupted. When sir Ulrich was a temporary inhabitant of the keep he tried to stop the production but the locals threatened with an insurection. This is both amusing and sad as when Sir Kejtar's family was being hunted and persecuted by sir Ulrich and his henchmen the locals could care less. When the ale and beer production was in danger though, they were ready to act.
Back to Sir Kejtar and his family. As it was already stated, Sir Kejtar is the late Lord Janus' son. Sir Janus was respected by the locals as a fair and just lord over the lands. That is of course until he was betrayed by sir Ulrich, and subsequently poisoned. This is where things got complicated. Sir Ulrich has accused sir Janus of being the devils scholar, or in plain English an evil sorcerer. He claimed that all of sir Janus' family were evil and tried to get them killed in order to take over the family lands and wealth. Thankfully the family went into hiding and surived.
The family The oldest member of sir Kejtar's family is Lady Zofka. She is his father's (late Lord Janus) older sister. From his fathers side there is also his uncle - Dowgierd - his father's younger brother. There are also cousins and other relatives but listing them here and now would take too much time to go through the somewhat wide family tree.
More on Sir Kejtar of Wiezyca. During his time away from his ancestral lands, he became a master swordsman and a highly regarded military strategist. His father's bastard sword is his weapon of choice. He is also skilled with a curved lance, also known as elf's long sword. While fighting on the ground in close quarters he has also been known to use a short handled double edged battle axe.

the location of the keep is the small dot south west in the foothills of the mountains located just south of Elavia.
