Hey guys, I just wanted to give you a quick update on what's going on for me regarding MOCs.
Firstly, I apologize for not having anything up yet. Once I can get the ball rolling, I think I'll be fine, but I'm quite busy this time of year, and it's been difficult to get things started.
Secondly, it occurred to me the other day that my current plan to build for Lenfald simply will not work. I want to write a story. My own story. And the nature of my story is such that if I were to do it, it would be impossible for my character to participate in most of our LCs and GCs. I won't go into detail, because I don't want to spoil the story, but suffice it to say that it is very unlikely he would ever be in a position where he could realistically participate in a contest.
So, I have a request. Would you guys mind if I had a "sub plot" in my story, revolving around a sort of secondary character for me to use during contests such as our LCs and GCs? I already know how I could make it work if that is acceptable to you all, but I thought it would be appropriate for me to ask rather than assuming it would be alright.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
For great Lenfald!

Andared, considering that you lost your original character to a GC, I think it only fair to let you do whatever you need to do to participate, within reason. The above is fine with a well-developed character.

You see having to include him (Navarre, my sigfig) in all the GCs restricts the story a bit, and makes me have to change plans quite often, and I believe in general it might be good to get rid of that rule concerning GCs. I mean, is it really necessary that the main character appear, instead of one of his friends/men/relatives or in general any of his connections?

My monthly build for February:The Falling Out, by Sir CaelanFor those who do not know yet, an important new Global Story Update is up, for which the monthly build was done: Check it out here: The Great DivideNow that it is posted, we can talk about that particular update in the Private Discussion Thread.

Here's my first monthly free build!
The Darrenspur Homestead, by AardWolf
Full album here!
Abner's first priority after graduating from Ranger school was to establish his homestead with his new bride, Serena. They decided to remain in Darrenspur, as it had been home to both of them for many years and because Abner's Ranger company was garrisoned at a small stronghold nearby. Abner purchased a fairly sizable plot of land on the outskirts of the town and began building a house upon it. Helped by Serena, some friends, and several other villagers, Abner finished their home in just a few months' time. Though neither the largest nor the most beautiful house in Lenfald, Serena and Abner thought it was the perfect place for them and were proud to call it home.

Team, IMPORTANT NEWS…but first: 1. If you have not voted in LC17 Natural Wonders yet, please do so now: LC-17 Voting Poll2. Personal points have been updated to include monthly builds. And now… HEAR YE, HEAR YE!!!!!High Lord Triphian Calls Upon All Lenfald Leaders of Significance For a Great and Urgent Congress at Stonewald Castle Main Hall, to be held as soon as practicable. All Lenfel Leaders of Valor are Called to hear News of The Realm and vote on Critical Matters. Leaders are Urged to Refrain from Speculation, Rumors and Explanations, and to Make Haste in Their Journeys to Our Beloved Capital of Stonewald. Come, and Have Your Voices Heard For Great Lenfald!Announcing LC-18: Influential Leaders, Scholars, and Commanders of LenfaldSo what is going on here? Well, for one thing the latest Global Story Update should be a clue: Eye, There Be Problems in The Kingdom! Triphian needs advice and buy-in from his people, and he will have it through this Great and Urgent Congress. Your LC-18 task: Build a non-player character (NPC) leader, thinker, tinker, philosopher, commander, etc. of the caliber who would be invited (or rather, let into) this kind of congress, write a short back-story of who this person is and why their vote is important, and take a single good-quality photo of him or her. Post on this thread but do not reveal how that NPC will vote at the Congress, though a hint is fine. All these leaders will be collected and put on a separate and permanent thread for Lenfald, so that we have a ready-made list of NPCs to turn to for future actions. You are allowed up to TWO (2) separate entries/leader minifigs. If you already have an established and important NPC minifig built, enter that one (hint, Mitah Val Karem). Personal Points: 2 for each entry, and top scoring minifigs of the minifig vote will receive another 1 point and potentially be featured in a Global Storyline Update I will write which covers what happened at the congress. Timing: All entries are due by midnight Saturday March 14th. I will have both polls up for voting up the next day! Example: (third figure from the right… yes I was too lazy to shoot a new photo only featuring her! But yours must be single-entry only): Lady Sheona Macrae is the current Head Master of the School of Delyth The Healer, a prestigious position she has earned at a relatively young age due to her brilliance both in herbal medicine but also as an effective leader for her Healers. Her voice is widely recognized as one of reason and compassion. She is an outspoken proponent for charity to the poor, and has been known to disapprove of violent conflict.VOTING: Very important, there will be TWO (2) polls for you to vote in: 1. The most well-built minifig matched with the best short backstory 2. Your vote as a player character (PC) at the Congress itself, the details of which are on our Private Discussion ThreadPlease do not discuss anything here on this thread which should be discussed instead on the Private Discussion Thread…go there after this to get the skinny we don’t want those pesky non-Lenfels knowing about! I see no reason why everyone shouldn’t be able to participate here, it’s simple and doesn’t require a lot of building.Cheers!

And the results of LC-17 Natural Wonders of Lenfald are....A TIE. As it happened, we have an equal number of votes for two outstanding entries, and so: The Dragon's Maw, by AardWolf-- and -- The Lost Grotto, by Sir Haymar Glen...are our winners. Aardwolf is new to our fold, so it's a great start for him. Please congratulate both! Both will be featured in our Faction Intro post for Monuments and Wonders, along with Mitah Val Karem 's The Blood Stone...when I get the time! - New Members. We have two more, Xymion vonRowlina and captainwarner , please give both a hardy welcome to the Best Faction! - Personal Points. Updated, including LC-17 and Ludvik's Hero's Guild entry. Cheers, now build those minifigs for LC-18!! And be sure to check out the fireworks on our Private Discussion Thread!

Hello boys, I'm baaaack!!Marius returns home from his exile North of Shieldbury, where he and his people were forced to spend the last several months completely uninvolved in world politics. Returning to Shieldbury by theboywarrior, on Flickr Free build! So this is my official return to Lenfald. I've missed you guys. But seriously, I look forward to building with you guys and I look forward to looking at all your cool creations (because God knows I don't have the skill to do some of the stuff you guys do). Expect cool storyline paired with mediocre builds in the near future! FOR GREAT LENFALD! (also is there some kind of private thread I wasn't invited to?)
