Hey guys,
Could I maybe provide a prize to the collaborators again, this year?
If I start now, I will have more time to get something together.

RBCustoms I wouldn't mind that I've been meaning to get something from your store, yet never got around to it. The capes are very cool. Anyway, Schmidt are we assigning modules yet? Since it looks I will be coming, I would like to know what I could build. No pressure though. Also, does this take place within Roawia, or is it independent?

So it seems I'm most likely going to go to BFVA 2015, so I would love to help with the collab if possible!

Sign me up obviously! We have an enormous amount of trans-dark blue pips I could bring. I think we should give the harbor section another row of plates, so we can have larger ships in the harbor. Lord Mercat: You mean what's left of the Loreesi elves, after Maldrake got done with them! Cheers, Joshua
I think adding another row of plates would be fantastic. It would be needed especially if we are going to add in a lighthouse.
Btw, would there be any chance of someone building my sigfig and putting him in the collab somewhere? I would love Navarre to be present this time!
We will make a sign-up list as we get closer of people who want to have their sigfig built and displayed.

We will mull it over and get back with you. Thanks.

Let's hold off a bit on choosing modules for the moment, until we get the frame entirely nailed out. I hope you are able to come, you will have the time of your life!

Any progress on this? If we are going better than last year, we need to get a move on! I can start building a few modules if we get the layout hammered out.

I agree. I have don't have enough bricks to build a module now and keep it together until then, but I'd like to start planning out what I can do. I was thinking perhaps a tower inside the city?

Did you not enjoy all those last minute module assignments/huge rush last year? Hahaha. Not sure if I'm looking at the full weekend right now, but I'd be down to build a few set pieces for the city. Merchant carts/stands, crier podiums, weapon racks, etc. Details make a good build!

If the modules and smaller pieces get laid out, I can actually start building now.

Hey guys,
Let me go ahead and share some of the fun things our collab participants can do:
-there will be a LoR fig swap -LoR small parts draft -LoR large parts draft -Chains to Champions Tournament -Dinner at Willards BBQ one night -Possible Dirty Brickster (still undecided)
Hope some of this might appeal to you. It will be throughout the week and won't conflict with other activities.

Ok guys, so let me get the balling rolling some more here.
You can see the footprint of the layout in the 2nd post. The terrain outside of the walls, will be dark tan, with spots of regular tan mingled in. There will be some rocks mingled in there as well (small). It will be an arid, desert environment (death to Loreos!!!!!)
-A1-6 - E1-6 are essentially just the terrain. We will try to make this as realistic as possible. These will be the easiest modules that require building. I will post a standard in a day or two (maybe tonight?). -The outside of the rectangle will all be surrounded with a 2x2x2 black border. Typical black border with a 2 stud wide black brick on the bottom, a standard 2x slope on top of that, with black tiles on top. -The water modules will just be blue baseplates with pips on top (Joshua do you think your family can supply those pips?) If we need to extend the water another column we can. Heck we can go out two more columns if we need to. I have at least 3 ships that can be in combat. We will try to space them out some. -I will build a standard for the wall and also the modules to upload, so everyone can get an idea of what kind of modules they want to build. -There will be a city (of sorts) within the wall. We need buildings of all shapes and sizes to go in there. They will be bordered on the right part of the MOC by a port that goes all along the coast. I've already got two buildings to go inside. We can commit to modules on those once we get the walls ironed out. -A lighthouse on one of the end modules would be sweet, if someone is interested in pulling that off.
-As far as the battle is concerned. I would like a little order to the battlefield (thanks Spencer, you got me hooked on orderly, matching armies, and not just rag tag bandits!) For this, let's not have troops just thrown about here and there. Soldiers should be organized (as best as possible) into units. I don't care how many soldiers are in a unit, I would just like to see units in formation. The main combat will take place on modules 4 and 5 (with battles within the battles as various units engage one another). Reserves for the city's army will be on modules 6, while reserves for the attackers will be on modules 1-3. Being the case, our largest forces need to be on modules 1-3. I know Spencer and I have some sizable armies. Can we get a tentative troop count? A guess right now is fine. -Let's try to keep the minifigure total on the battlefield between 900-1,100. We have more open space to work with this time around, so lets keep it a little orderly with battle formations. I'll post some standards and modules on unit formation, etc. -It would be good if we could get some terrified civilians within the city walls too.
This is going to be A LOT of fun. Additionally, I know the whole week will be fun. What I need to know, is who is interested in the extracurriculars and plans on signing up?
-LoR Fig Swap (you create a fig in the range of $7-10 for your faction. The swap is done the same as Dirty Brickster, with all the figs wrapped up, and person 1 goes and selects one at random. Person 2 then goes, and can steal person 1's fig, or get another one, etc. -LoR small parts draft (a $10-$15 set) -LoR large parts draft (a $20-$30 set) -Brickwarriors Chains to Champions tournament (with prizes, of course )
As head collaborator this year, I will have some pretty sweet goody bags for all our participants, so I hope you are able to get involved. If you can't be involved, please, stop by the display and hang out with us for a while. One night we will get dinner next door at Willard's BBQ. (Thank you Gary, for getting me hooked on amazing Brisket!)
I look forward to hearing from you all,
Sam
