Hey guys I had a question. I've been working on a story for my character (Justinian) and I had the main antagonist be from the Outlaws, eventually in the story Justinian travels to the Outlaw territory(still loyal to Garheim but like 5+ years) would that be ok?

There is no problem with you character traveling to other lands. My character has been to all four countries at various times in his story.

My character was in Lenfald for several weeks, but still as loyal as ever to the best faction in Roawia

Well, guys, it looks like we're stuck with those smelly outlaws roaming our lands. I'm going to do my best to be involved in the next GC and I think with a strong turnout we can impress the other factions with some great builds! It seems that the larger builds aren't necessarily the way to go, in the GC's; they seemed like they'd earn more points but really votes are the only thing that mattered, in the long run. I know I'm going to focus my efforts on the smaller categories from now on. Excited for a new LC!

Somewhat true. If you build a vignette and get 20 votes, you have earned the faction 20 points, plus 1 for the build. If you build the unrestricted and get 4 votes, you've earned 20 points plus 5 for the build. The vote points are the same as the build points, just multiplied by the number of votes you receive

Just to clarify, the votes are only used to determine the winner of the GC, and are separate from Global Points.
So if you build a vignette, get 20 votes and win the category, Garheim earns 20 votes toward winning the GC, and 10 bonus Global Points for winning a category. The winner of the GC gets 10 additional bonus Global Points.
So in the last GC, Loreos not only smoked us in participation by having lots of members submit entries in multiple categories, but they also won each category (10 global points each) and the overall GC (10 additional global points) for a total of 40 bonus Global Points. The actual number of votes received doesn't contribute to their global score.
This puts the emphasis on participation by all members, with the majority of the global points coming from participation, and relatively fewer points coming from winning a category or the overall GC.
Make sense?

To a point, I guess Pointwise, we were placed third overall with the Outlaws below us. Vote wise, though, we only garnered 85 (give or take a couple - I forget ) and that's what determined who won or lost. I guess I should have clarified what I meant a bit better. I spent my time trying to build for the larger categories in the last two GC's and ran out of time, making me unable to enter at all. I'm just saying I'm gonna focus on the smaller builds - not that you guys shouldn't build for the larger ones, too

As far as earning global points goes, 2 unrestricted entries earn as many points as winning the unrestricted category, so if we can get more unrestricted entries done, that will help us a lot. That said, a half-finished entry does us little good, so by all means, focus on building what you can finish! (You'll notice I only managed a vignette in the last GC - everyone has different amounts of building time, and that's fine )

Local Challenge 19 Destruction and Desperation Story:
The battle-weary Garhims made their way home from the assault on the Royal Island, led by their recently freed leader, Jarl Jhirian Eindrik. The leaders of Roawia had been freed, but at great cost. The evil wizard Maldrake had set a trap for the attackers, and the losses had been many, particularly among the Garhim assailants. But for the heroics of young Lord Chartres, who managed to locate and free the leaders in the heat of the battle, the entire mission would have been for naught. Luckily, the Jarl, Lord Triphian of Lenfald, and Prince Lorean of Loreos had been rescued, and all three leaders were making their way towards their respective capital cities. As the men neared the Garhim / Lenfel border, a familiar smell began to waft through their nostrils. It wasn't long before the forward scouting party came charging back, their message confirming the fears of every man in the company. "SMOKE! The towns are on fire!" With a renewed sense of purpose, the bearded warriors picked up the pace as best they were able. Every town that they came to they found razed to the ground, the charred remains of loved ones brought some to their knees as they recognized a fallen wife, son, or daughter. "The queen's evil dogs have been busy exacting her revenge for the rescue attack." the Jarl snarled to Chartres, who had accompanied the Garhims on their northward march, as the young Lenfel prince had set up residence in the icy province some many months before, while waiting for politics to cool down back in his homeland. "Indeed, my Lord, it is as you have said." Chartres replied before continuing, "Please grant me leave that I may take my men on ahead to see if we can save those innocents who have not yet been cut down. Our Loreesi mounts are swift and we will make better time on our own." "Very well, but be careful, Lad. You're not as fierce as we Garhim on the battlefield, but I've a feeling ye might have a bit more heroics left in ye blade just yet!" With that, Chartres waved to his men and spurred forward at a blistering clip, his eyes squinting against the burn of the smoke in the air. Garheim was in great trouble, and it remained to be seen if any would live to tell the tale. Challenge:
Garheim is still under the Queen's heavy hand, and things are looking grim as her men are taking advantage of the diminished forces to run rampant throughout the land. Even as they are being driven from the other provinces, many of the black scourge are finding their way north, increasing the strain on the Garhim defenses. Your task is to build a scene which shows destruction and/or desperation. You can show your character escorting his family into a safe mountain retreat, or desperately holding off the queen's men, in dire need of reinforcements. Minimum build is 16x16. Emphasis on judging will be conveying a sense of destruction and/or desperation. Scoring/Deadline:Winner to be determined by myself and Excalibur (gurusql). Entering will earn you 4 personal points. Winner's bonus is 4 points. Runner-up's bonus is 2 points. Deadline shall be 11:59:59pm 6/30/14 Entries must be posted or linked in this thread.
Courage, Honor, Loyalty! For Garheim!

You can build anything you want. Maybe showing some additional destruction in the background would add a bit more to the scene as well
