Looks like GyustSil takes 3rd place by default, as Schmidt has missed the deadline. Congrats, GyustSil!
We will have results for the championship round soon!

Sorry guys, just getting back from Comic Con, I didn't have the time nor energy to invest in a build. I am honored Gyustil got 3rd place, a great build indeed!

Very hard to predict who is going to win. You both did really good. Good luck!

I'm really sad that Schmidt couldn't build anything, even thought that grants me the 3rd place, for I was looking forward to his build Let's see now how will get the First Place, it will be a tough call!

What are the brackets looking like? Did anyone come even close?
I think the bottom half of mine was pretty accurate actually, since I had Fritziix and GyustSil going pretty far. My top half was almost completely wrong though.

If Masterminifig wins this he will almost definitely win the Braket Challenge (Putting high stakes eh?) but if not I really don't know who would win.

I'll let people add up their own scores and post them in a final thread and then we will verify the self-proclaimed winner's results.

Who's ready for some results??? Since this is the final round, I thought it would be cool to share the judge's comments on both entries so that you can see what our thought process was in determining the first ever Champion of the Brawl! First of all, thanks to our sponsor, Jameson of NeonBricks.com for his generous prize donation and participation as guest judge! Also, thanks to everyone who entered the tournament and participated in the bracket challenge. It was really fun to get a lot of people involved in this, and I hope the brackets helped to keep you interested in the results all the way to the end! Without further ado, the judges' decisions are below: Wow, these are so closely matched. I love MasterMinifig's entry based on the subject material, and he has lots of great details underneath the surface of the water. Even the way he did the cut-away of the water is neat. That said, I think Fritzix also had a lot of great detail, and while the subject material isn't as unique as MasterMinifig's, I think his building techniques are a little better. I particularly like the wall texture and the use of the net and turntable bases for a couple of the roofs. I wavered back and forth many times, but I am going to cast my vote for Fritzix. OH MY GOODNESS! This round was SOOO tough to judge. I went back and forth many times, I think Fritzix did a tiny wee fraction better in building, but MasterMinifig had a better idea. In the end, I will have to go with MasterMinifig. His water was what put it over, I love that idea, and how he completed it. It's a tough one for sure. As was mentioned, Fritzix's was the more technical build. Although I really like Master's creative idea, in the end I based my vote on detail. Fritzix's build is full of detail throughout. Master did an amazing job under water, but I find some parts of his build lacking detail above the surface, a specific example being the flat tan roof. In the end, my vote goes to Fritzix Great work by both of them! So, by a vote of 2-1, the victor of our first Brawl Tournament, by virtue of an incredible string of amazing builds is....
FRITZIX!
Fritzix is the winner of the title "CHAMPION OF THE BRAWL" as well as a supply of fantastic minifig accessories, weapons and armor supplied by our generous sponsor, NeonBricks.comMasterMinifig will also win a supply of awesome accessories, weapons and armor from NeonBricks.com for his fantastic entries and second-place finish. Congratulations to all of our participants. There were a lot of incredible builds generated as a result of this tournament, and we had a blast looking through all of them and picking the winners. For those who participated in the bracket challenge, please post your brackets and final scores here! The two persons with the highest score will take home a terrific prize! (We will verify the top scores for accuracy)I hope you had fun, and we'll definitely be holding another one of these again. It remains to be seen how frequently we will have them, but it will be annually, at the very least! Until next time, Brawl On!
