I live in fear of having to move into a carpeted room. I'll never see those fallen pieces again.

the bins from Ace will be higher quality for sure, i hear HF is similar to Princess Auto up here, which is cheap tools and such, but a good return plan. i bought all my garage heaters from Princess Auto.
what do you like about the bins? i am going to be looking at some new organization styles after my move and would like to know what others like about their storage styles.

Well, I finally got my workspace cleaned up this weekend! BEFORE:AFTER:Here is a close-up of the minifig wall display/storage. It is a really nice way to keep your most-used figs readily available without taking up a bunch of space.

i keep all my most used minifigs in a PAB cup near the build area, i also have my "measuring mini" handy at all times. a basic minifig with nothing on him to check door heights, window heights, ect. i should clean my space again and take some pictures.

You should give your "measuring mini" a tall helmet so that you know all of your troop variants will fit, not just the bald ones A visored great-helm with a plume has got to be one of the tallest variants out there, I'd think. I have little sorting boxes full of figs as well, but I have enough of them that finding the right one can be a hassle. The "shelf" I built can hold 66 figs easily; more if I only spaced them 1 stud apart and overlapped hands a little bit. I can fit all of my favorite figs on there within arm's reach as-needed (plus, I think it looks cool! ). Makes good use of the otherwise unused space on the wall too, freeing up desk space that would otherwise have little boxes of figs all over it.

How did you mount the fig shelf on the wall?

I just used some of those "Damage Free" adhesive strips, 3 on each side, top/middle/bottom.

Very clever. I'll definitely look into this.

Something to work on I guess. My 'sorting and space' are both quite primitive. Need grey plates? Find the grocery bag with grey plates and dump it on the carpet... Surprisingly, I do a bang up job of not losing anything in the carpet or stepping on legos but any time I have a WIP, (which honestly ought to be always) my room does not look like an adult's.

I live in fear of having to move into a carpeted room. I'll never see those fallen pieces again. I just pick it back up if I realize I kocked it off. My worst nightmare is that they fall into my big plushie seat.

the worst for me is that i put a cat bed at my feet for my furry little bugger to sleep in while i build, if i drop lego from the desk it can fall in there... it is fluffy, he is fluffy, lego can go missing... i have to brush him down the other day because i lost a brown one of these guys in his fur... he is pretty good with staying there once i let him know i cant pet him all the time.

I'm terrified to show you guys my space, as right at the moment it's a pig sty while I get ready for Bricks Cascade. Maybe in April I'll have a chance to clean up a bit, and then take a couple snaps.

NO CLEANING!" what would you think of that?

Actually I felt so guilty with myself for being such an insufferable slob that right after I posted that yesterday I started cleaning my desk. So I might actually be able to take some pictures here pretty soon without risk of dying of embarrassment.
