A little history
when i was a kid (5-14 Y.O.) i was a massive lego fan, and a MOC at heart... many of my sets never even got built the proper way because i just got so many new ideas into my head. i have always been a castle fan. but at 15 years old i broke my skull playing hockey and many of my old hobbies took a back burner to education and re-education of some stuff, lego being one of them.
cut to two years ago, my wife (fiance at the time) went to mexico, and when we got home, went shopping in Calgary at Chinook mall. i am a massive video game collector (downsizing now) and wandered into the LEGO store for memories, saw the PAB wall and started an addiction all over again.
the last two years almost i had been a "Set collector" and a PAB wall junkie, but never using my PAB wall items.
Cut to two months ago, i started my MOC journey again. my skills are weak, my imagination is rebooting (which is nice) but i ran into a massive problem!
i am working on a MOC for my character to talk to a weird magical being at his "island" home, i built the home, the dock all that jazz, but the water... it just seems.... weak....
suggestions for different water types would be great.
i love using baseplates to build on, and this MOC is no different as it is built on the blue medium baseplate.
what i am thinking so far is either add more trans white cheese slope waves, or remove the entire model from the baseplate and do the loose water like gid617 did in his recent brawl entry, except in dark blue to light blue to trans white rounds over blue baseplates to show depth.
any other ideas i can try out for water?
