My first Freebuild (and my second attempt at an interior). Undying - Prologue, Part 1 -Remote Monastery somewhere in Garheim- "Sir you wanted to see us?" The old commander looked up from his documents. "Raziel, Kain good you've both been summoned." Raziel looked displeased. "Sir with all due respect, he's just a greenhorn, he can't possibl..." "That is enough Raziel" the commander interrupted, however Raziel slammed his fist on the table "But Sir..." exasperated the commander once again interrupted "I SAID THAT IS ENOUGH! Now then, you've both been dispatched to our excavation site in the Lorean Desert, you will leave immediately." "Can you give any more details concerning our mission Sir?" Kain asked. The commander frowned as he contemplated what to tell them. "The Chaplain leading the excavation has requested immediate reinforcements as the current Paladins present at the site are incapable of suppressing the undead, now leave and make haste!" Do let me know if anything is wrong, also I should mention that I'm not actually a native English speaker or writer so scribbling down this little story was pretty hard, if I made any mistakes feel free to correct me.

wow nice story and your English is fine, i olso like the interior as well as the book shelf Thank you, my biggest concern is whether I'm using certain words correctly like exasperated... basically I have to translate the story I'm trying to tell in my mind from Dutch to English and when I can't find a word to express myself I have to just Google something until I find what works. I also never tried to write a dialogue like this before, I hope I can keep it up

Amazing first build isundir and great story to go with it. Especially like the detail for the bookcase with the statue and books included, top quality stuff

Undying - Prologue, Part 2 - Lorean Desert, Unknown Excavation Site- "We've been walking through these caves for hours." Kain complained. Raziel was in a foul mood, no doubt being stuck with the rookie had something to do with it. He scoffed; "It's been 30 minutes at most." Kain disregarded the comment and continued his complaining; "and what about the camp outside, it's completely abandoned this doesn't feel right." Raziel turned around, his face showing a faint hint of worry; "You're right it is odd but if this map, we found at the campsite, is right we're coming up on the Crypt soon." They entered through a carved out archway, to their left was rock surface and to their right was a dark void, most likely a large cavern. Before them descending steps were carved out. Kain looked over the railing but with a crackle what was left of it came loose. *Phew* "That was close, almost fell down, wonder how deep it is." Kain spoke his thoughts out loud, Raziel began to make the descent. Suddenly a disturbing laughing echoed through the cavern, an inhuman kind of cackling filled both the Veteran as well as the Rookie with dread... "n-n-no, it c-c-can't be..." Kain had never heard Raziel stutter before. Somehow Raziel managed to move forward but then tripped, his torch went out and Kain couldn't see him anymore... a moment of silence and then... a disgusting cracking noise of shattering armor and smashed bone and flesh... a shadow flew at Kain from the darkness and then he felt as if run over by a horse, before losing conscience Kain vaguely heard a disturbing voice "...this one still breathes, good bring them both...". Originally I had no intention of making another Freebuild so quickly, but after a bad day I just felt like building, if I understand correctly I'm now at 9 Points (5+2+2) and next month I can earn 4 again then the month after that I rank up It was a bit easier to write now, I guess it's something you slowly get used to.

Sorry guys, so used to quoting stuff on other forums I completely forgot that the images would be included. Could see how it could quickly spiral out of control if we had a chain of quotes all with pictures

Nice build isundir, amazing job at building so quickly with it still being very good quality, your flying through the free builds. Don't forget if you still have an urge to do more building that we currently have a local challenge on the outlaws thread (think it's on the pages before this one).

Don't forget if you still have an urge to do more building that we currently have a local challenge on the outlaws thread (think it's on the pages before this one). Thanks, I've become a bit annoyed by the rock surface actually after staring at it for too long (I've attempted those twice before and both times turned out better then this) I limited myself to only 2 studs wide for said rock surface which made it difficult and the next time I should leave more space like 4 studs wide at least. For LCXVIII, "Rumors" I see I can use a Secondary Character, I originally didn't want to partake in the Rumors challenge because it would mess up my storyline (only 1 or 2 more builds to go before my character is freely out and about in the Badlands and can partake in Outlaw challenges/activities does my Secondary have to be introduced like my Primary and how does the Secondary work exactly. Does it have to be/is it allowed to be connected to my Primary? (I'd like to build out a traditional roleplaying games 'party' of a couple of characters to join my character, can the secondary be a part of that party?) I had another question, how free are we to introduce elements to the world like creatures or deities (obscure ones maybe) just to name something, or a race. I was thinking for my secondary to have a Ratman using one of the Splinter Minifig heads, do Ratmen already exist in Roawia and if not can I have them be a thing at least for the Badlands.

You might need to double check with the veteran players about these as I'm still relative new but this is my take on your questions.
I think you can have your Mocs out of sequence as long as you state in the description around when it is (especially as it becomes quite hard to keep it all in sequence through the many free builds, local challenges and global challenges all with different themes). I think the main one too keep in sequence are your global challenges as that's the overall story so can't really be swapped around.
For your secondary I've personally got a side character in my story but he's not a proper secondary character but rather just an element of the story. I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong) you can have different distinct individuals in your story but by having one as a secondary character you can gain personal points against them and you can have them instead of your main character in a build.
Pretty sure you can introduce different races you want as long as you don't go overboard with them but not sure about destinies and such. Luckily with the outlaws you are far freer than the other factions to introduce such races into your story line.

EDIT: Gunbrikt pretty well covered it. It's really great to see you guys so active in here. I'm a little late but welcome to LoR isundir. You seem to be quite capable with your English. I would not have suspected it was not your first language. As much as we would have loved to have you in Garheim, you chose a great faction to join for what you want to do. For your secondary character, you don't have to do anything special to introduce it. You could do it for the Rumors challenge, in a freebuild, a GC, etc. The secondary character is in every way like your first character as far as I know. It can be related to your first character but does not have to be though it does still have to be in the same faction. Since you are planning out a story that you don't want challenges to interfere with (and that is awesome!) you may want to leave the secondary character's fate a little more open-ended so it can be placed into the various challenges your primary character is unavailable for. Magic is far stronger in Outlaw lands so you will see more fantastic things there than in the mainland. I do not remember any Ratmen being introduced in Roawia though some of the Chima figs have been used, (One came in second in the outlaws last LC I think.) so go for it. As a general rule, you can introduce most anything that is not out of place in medieval fantasy (gunpowder, steam engines) and does not interfere with other stories (kidnapping the Prince, sinking Lenfald to the bottom of the ocean.) You have made a very nice start already. I'm looking forward to seeing the next part of your story.

Gunnbrikt pretty much summed up the important bits but I'll continue the information. (I'd like to build out a traditional roleplaying games 'party' of a couple of characters to join my character, can the secondary be a part of that party?) You do not need to formally introduce a secondary character like you would your main character by the CIC. We said in the KC that all secondary characters should have some kind of connection to your main character, but the depth and relationship of that connection is basically up to you. We would just like to see that the two have some form of contact or story crossover every once and a while. You definitely create a "party" of characters that your main character is surrounded by. Other people certainly have, as have I. I try to switch out these characters every so often to help develop a story arc though, but if you'd like to have the same party throughout the course of your builds that's ok too. I had another question, how free are we to introduce elements to the world like creatures or deities (obscure ones maybe) just to name something, or a race. I was thinking for my secondary to have a Ratman using one of the Splinter Minifig heads, do Ratmen already exist in Roawia and if not can I have them be a thing at least for the Badlands. You're pretty much only limited by your imagination, and common sense. You are free to introduce new races, and deities, as long as you kind of mind the boundaries and make sure you're not stepping on people's toes. This is all fun and games here, so we try not to introduce real life political problems here. Why would we, when we can just create our own! We just ask that you not create something like a 100 meter tall, fire-breathing, invisible, teleporting, and unkillable 6 headed monster, as that's just unfair to other players. Dragons, sea creatures, other monsters/mythical creatures are ok, but we usually keep them to the Magic Isles as they were exiled, hunted, or fled there when the mainland was purged long ago. Some of the more humanoid, and to some extent intelligent or semi-cognizant races, such as Dwarves in Garhiem, Elves in Lenfald, and Goblins and Orcish races in the mountains of Loreos and the Badlands exist in small communities outside the Magical lands.

Thanks for the answers everybody, I don't like the idea of building out of sequence but instead I'd like to find a way to integrate the challenges into my characters story if/whenever possible. Does the Shade have Sewers, not so much in the lower shanty town slums of course but maybe in the middle/upper districts, if there are sewers that could be were the Ratmen primarily hold up and then they are occasionally seen around the lower districts albeit a rare sight (not sure if there are more details on the Shade). Speaking of Chima figs, I've also been interested to use the Chima Crocodiles as some sort of lizardfolk. Anyhow if it's alright for the connection between my secondary and primary to happen later I'll use the secondary for the Rumors Challenge
