I know the film has been out for a while, but what did you guys think of it (NO SPOILERS PLEASE!)? I know quite a few people online who haven't seen it or aren't sure whether to, so let them know what its like!
Personally, I loved it. It was hilarious in every single way, and there were many puns aimed at the online community, which my parents didn't understand! It's perfect for the whole family, as there's just the right mix of action and a good, moving plotline.

I have yet to see it. I want to watch it so bad, but for whatever reason, my "Debbie-downer" wife won't go see it because it's too "childish." So I am going to have to go by myself and watch it I suppose.
I can't wait though, for when I finally do get to see it.
The LEGO community and fans must have thought highly of it though, because it did get good reviews and sold many tickets. Not to mention, it has already been scheduled for a sequel in 2017. So while I haven't seen it, it seems as if it is critically acclaimed for its charm and humor!

One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Very enjoyable for all ages, IMO.
I almost never buy movies, but this is one that I'll be snatching up as soon as it comes out on Blu-Ray

My wife isn't into Lego and she loved it. The kids dig it and There is a ton of humor there for adults. I have gone twice and took a good friend who also isn't into Lego and he really enjoyed it as well. We bought the soundtrack and if you do I highly recommend track #27

I saw it opening weekend with a couple non-FOL friends, and we all enjoyed it greatly, one of my friends actually got back into lego after seeing it. CCG

I have yet to see it. I want to watch it so bad, but for whatever reason, my "Debbie-downer" wife won't go see it because it's too "childish." We thought the same thing, my kids (16 and 13) didn't want to see it at all because the advertising made everyone think that it would be childish. But word-of-mouth got us in, and all 4 of us loved it. It's much more mature that the advertising led on, and parts of it were dead-on clever. No spoilers here, but pay attention when Emmett watches television, there's great commentary in there as to the current state of the Western world. Sure, some of the jokes fall flat, but most work well and there are moments when it's more clever than a lot of live-action movies.

I realize it is still in box-office in many places, but has a release date been scheduled for the DVD?
Thanks Gary, i'll have to inform my wife of this. Surely she can suffer through it
EDIT*** Looks like it's far too early to find out a release date.

I went and saw this yesterday, and I don't regret it at all. I had initial reservations about seeing it, because of the poor advertising, but dozens of positive reviews won me over. In my opinion, the movie is actually geared more towards adults, and not children. The plot was entertaining and it did an excellent job with its twists and surprises. A thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable movie, and one I strongly recommend every FOL to watch.

The trailer did look rather childish, but I'm so glad I went! It was such a fun movie, and like Gary said there was quite a lot of intellectual humour, too!

I really enjoyed it. Lots of great gags, for adults as well as kids.
Thought the twist was good, but slightly removed any investment or emotional involvement in the plot I felt... But probably got the biggest laugh (as many dad's shifted awkwardly in their seats).
Be interesting to see how they follow it up with the sequel.
Any guesses as to what the promo fig might be for the dvd/blu-ray?

Any guesses as to what the promo fig might be for the dvd/blu-ray? Likely Emmett, but I would really like that new Johnny Thunder to be it.

Johnny Thunder would be so cool that I would have to get the film when the promotion's on, even if it's only for Blu-ray which I don't have!

Hmm, interesting! I don't normally put a lot of stock in "collector's editions", but this might tip the scales for me.
