Lenfels: GCVIII Results and other good news
GCVIII winners have been announced, and Lenfald came in 2nd with 58 points, great work everyone! Sir Brick, Mitah and Becheman were selected for our finalists and did well, huge congrats to all of them! Becheman and Sir Brick are relatively new members and their wins are a great example of how effective LoR is in welcoming newcomers into the fold.
Garheim’s GCVIII win is a reminder that every build counts. So I ask that we push hard whenever there’ s a GC to at least build a Restricted, if possible.
I found out that 2 of the other factions have been rewarding their Faction Finalists with 5 extra personal points, so we will do the same starting with this one, so our 3 finalists have already had 5 added. We will also keep the title of “Champion of Lenfald” as well as I announced earlier.
As a result of this GC, Lenfald is now back on top as the highest scoring faction. Great stuff!
Scores have been updated to include monthly builds and our newest member, Snazzerton
Faction Info page: the initial paragraph no longer has that run-on sentence, much better now. I have also scrubbed the roll, which showed an inflated “45 members”. After thoroughly checking each login, character name and last activity, we actually have 27, with about a dozen or so very active. Most of the missing never transferred over from Classic Castle. Inactive members have been moved to a separate thread with a link under the member roll.
The next step is to improve the Lenfald background info. Again, I stress to all that if you post your regional info in the Nomination Thread, I will do my best to include it. One person cannot capture everything that has happened in LCC/LoR history, so if you want to be part of our lore, do so ASAP, thank you.
Local Challenges: Honestly, can't figure out why we don't have more LC15 entries...you have only a week left to enter this super-easy, fast and fun Archery contest and it's worth 2 to 4 points right away...go for it, guys!!
- So that more particpation is encouraged, I am announcing LC16 already, idea provided by Mitah:
SOOOO LC16 Life in Stonewald will be to create a Vignette and/or larger build to illustrate our great capital. Winners will be featured prominently on our Faction Info Page, so this is an LC of lasting worth. MOCs should be representative in nature, not individual storyline bound. It will start September 28 and run for at least three weeks, but you can get started now, hint-hint! This is a great way to both increase your stature in Lenfald, contribute permanently to the faction, and hone your medieval building skills.
Thank you to those giving me birthday congrats. Happy to be the FO for LoR's Best Faction, Cheers!

It seems most MOCs picturing Lenfald are set somewhere in the countryside, the woods or generic cities. I think it would add a little more life to our capital if there were more MOCs focusing on the city itself - maybe show the life of the common folk, the aristocracy, life on the street (guards, thieves, markets, guilds, ...) or the seedy underbelly (the docks, smuggling at the city gates, ...) or the intrigues and diplomacy at the court (maybe embassies where the Lenfel ambassadors conspire to supplant our leaders with puppet monarchs) This could also work as a local challenge in various sizes (vignettes of characters of the city, small builds of street corners or market stalls, large builds of buildings or squares, ...) ...Show why Stonewald is so much better than the unpronouncable capital of Loreos or the stone-cold Garhim capital Mikithdar.
