On a completely different subject:
There has been a trend of late to just not put faction banners/colours into MOCs. Maybe we could reiterate the rules concerning faction designation in MOCs or make an example of the next violator and void the points gained for the MOC.
I find it confusing when even in challenges there are builds where I have no way to figure out which faction the build or character belongs to.

I am so guilty of this. I usually build smaller builds, so I feel like having a big ol banner takes the focus away from this. I really need to try incorporating it into the border. Still, I agree. Good call!

yeah... i am so guilty of this. so guilty of this. i should make some faction banners... one of the sad things is that my guild i joined has no banner either. but i can put the faction banners in my build for sure. edit: note, that in the www.merlins-beard.com/thread/3/lor-general-information-useful-links link under Banners, where it talks about the faction colours, the pictures are all broken links. so we are gonna need to fix that too...

If you just build a figure for an LC for instance are faction banners required even if no base is used to photograph?

Guild Banners for all the guilds should be available at: www.roawia.byethost7.com/files/?dir=Titles-Banners/Guilds... If you just build a figure for an LC for instance are faction banners required even if no base is used to photograph? [...] There is also a Banner-maker for faction graphics to include in your pictures should there be no way to include an actual banner (for fig-only builds without base): www.roawia.byethost7.com/#bannersAlthough you could always include just a flagpole with a small base of it's own with your figure if you don't want to build a full base.

i meant the in build banners. all other guilds have a flag and colour code for their builds, naval guild does not. the banners i linked that are broken are for the actual flag colour and style of build in MOC builds, not signature banners. i thought that was what we were talking about. are we supposed to photoshop in the sig pictures into our photos for builds? i thought we were just supposed to fly our colours in build if that makes any sense.

Sorry for the confusion, was a rough weekend. I still don't really know what information you are missing. The Guild Hall Thread seems to contain all the information needed: The flags should be your faction flags, the guild colours for studs on the flag are: Heroes - Use the main color of your faction, Red, Blue, Green, or Black. Masons - Light Bley Merchants - Gold Mages - Trans-any color, except for Trans Red or Trans Light Blue Sailors- Trans Light Blue Assassins- Trans Red

While I don't know where exactly (which thread/post) these images were that seem to be missing now, I still can't quite understand what we're discussing here (I still firmly blame the weekend for this confusion here ), the colours of every faction are, while not always pictured, at least described at at least two locations: 1) The General Information Thread: Garheim - Colors (primary/secondary): Dark blue/blue. Lenfald - Colors (primary/secondary): Dark green/yellow. Loreos - Colors (primary/secondary): Red/gold. Outlaws - Colors (primary/secondary): Black/varied.2) ... and the official faction threads Lenfald, Loreos, Garheim and Outlaws also mention these colours in the respective " faction traits/info" sections of the first post(s). I'm calling it quits for now, I clearly should not be posting anymore today.

Pyro, you need to link what thread you're talking about that has broken links.
With regard to banners, you can either incorporate flags into your MOC, via integrated into the border or as a flag in the scene, and/or you can photoshop one of Mitah's faction banners into your photo.
Bottom line, faction should be identified in one way or another in every LoR build.

Thanks. I will see about getting those fixed.
The question on what is required for a banner has been cleared up though, correct?

I have a suggestion after seeing a post by a fellow outlaw requesting to add his fortress to the faction map.
I think it would be a good incentive to be able to do this, provided you have reached a milestone of getting x amount of points. This would limit cluttering of the map, and also cement passionate LoR builders deeply within the lore of their faction.
Just a suggestion.
