A Quiet Moment (Vignette)
Meditating At The Shrine by Mitah Val Karem
Lord Val Karem meditates at a field shrine just before engaging a small group of soldiers loyal to the Queen. The Lenfel heartland seems to be free of enemy troops except for small skirmishing units and victory in battle seems certain. Yet Lord Val Karem can't shake the feeling that something is off, and Loyalist resistance was too weak and not very wel organized.
The Last Stand (Unrestricted)
The Last Stand by Mitah Val Karem
The battle begins and the Queen's troops stand no chance against the overwhelming number of Lenfel soldiers - the last remnants are routed and all but a handful regroup to make a last stand. Their loyalty to the false Queen seems unwavering, and one has to wonder whether it is loyalty to the cause or fear of punishment that makes them fight to the death.
Epilogue
As the battle concluded the unsettling feeling returned to Lord Val Karem - something was definitely not right. Just as he was about to dismiss this notion battle cries sounded from the hills on the right flank - A Loreesi cavalry unit chased some scattered Loyalists riding what seemed to be large wolves down a slope, heading directly towards him. Lord Val Karem directed the troops to form a shield wall to stop their advance and crush them between them and the Loreesi, but it was too late. A Single wolf rider broke through and before the Lord could raise his sword he was run down by the beast and thrown to the side.
Note: What is missing here is the second half of my unrestricted entry (the base was double the size pictured above, but this part didn't survive me packing it into moving boxes) and the restricted entry showing the fate of my character. This will follow in form of a free-build at a later point if and when I will have gotten my LEGO collection back from storage.
