Jordan and I briefly talked about it. I think it would be great, just been to busy to think of anything.

I think the small set was fun and different. Mabye a reimagined set this year, or a set that could have been. I think we open discussion and see what happens ☺

Tried to find last years thread and I only found a discussion preceding it and the wrapup discussion. Not sure what happened to the actual signup and pictures thread for it.... Anyways, so here's couple thoguhts - round robin is fun so that you are not exchanging 1 to 1 but rather A sends to B, B sends to C, C sends to D, D sends to A. - rules could be defined as either a remake of a set that was made by lego or could have been made by lego with parts count between 25 and 55 plus a minifigure (do we want to put separate rules on the minifig to be loaded with X accessories?) - has to be castle related - it is suggested to contact the recipient regarding the theme they want the sender to follow with an understanding that the sender might not be able to fulfill the wish (for example - if someone asks me to make something in Fright Knights style, I will do my best to get as close as possible but I might have a hard time with the minifig. I will make it as close as I can. On the other hand if someone asks me for a forestmen style set, I will be able to fulfill it 100% and I understand the flip side - if someone asks me what I want and I state that I would like something that is matches a specific theme the sender will do his best to come close to it but I will understand that if they can't because they don't have the resources for that theme. Maybe the suggestions/requests can be restricted to styles i.e. Lenfald, Loreos, Garheim, Outlaws). Sending - tracking required. Insurance highly suggested (sending through PayPal shipping gives free insurance on certain types of packages with better prices then post office - I can dig up the instructions how to do it for stateside folks when I get a moment). Should be sent so that the expected arrival date is December 20th unless otherwise prearranged with the recipient ( some folks might request later date due to travel - asking for earlier date is ok, but no expectation should be made that the sender can honor it - idea is that the package should arrive for Xmas). The administrator has to approve the participants (the standard - you have to have X posts, no negative feedback, etc. If one has negative feedback or the admin sees prior history of poor "sportsmanship" the admin has the right to deny entry). Thoughts?

If everyones up for this then we could ditch the jamabalaya and do this instead? Or just hold the jambalaya over until the start of next year (thought it would have had more interest by now).
This exchange at least means that everyone would get something before Christmas. I'm all for making things as streamlined as possible.

Depends on who can do one/either/both. I, for one, am not sure if I have the time to build a small set/build for an exchange, and so may not participate. However, I think that the Jambalaya is still a good idea and should be done.

I would happily participate in both.

Ok cool, we can press ahead with both as they're unlikely to overlap for most people.

Since Xmas is around the corner: is there an official blessing to run this? If so I can run it and get things started in the next week or so in order for folks to have time to get things done before Xmas.
