So with the success of the summer draft alot who participated expressed interest in doing another. As well I would like to invite those whom were interested in participating but didn't, an opportunity to open discussion here as to sets that we may want to see drafted in our next draft. As well as working out participation, etc. I think that we all could agree to a set or multiple sets in the 40-60 us dollar range. There are a bunch of neat sets out now such as the brickheadz, as well as a couple from the Ninjago theme. I would like to also open up the floor for those who might think they would like to host. I am willing to host and am taking a couple weeks vacation in September, which would be prime time to for me to sort as well as set up the spreadsheet, etc. But would also like to hear if anyone else would like to host. So let's get the discussion rolling And... GO!

Destiny's Shadow + 3 brickheads (Beast + Joker + Iron Man) would be great draft with lots of specialty pieces

Just my 2 bits, I am not a huge fan of doing multiple cheap sets in a draft, since to me, the point is to get a whole bunch of each part you're drafting, and the more sets you add in, the more small, unique lots you're going to have. Honestly (and I realize I'm kind of contradicting my above point here), I'd be more interested in something like drafting Ninjago City, which is $300 per copy, but you could have people buy in for $50/share and only draft a couple of them. There's almost 5,000 parts in each set, and since it's an advanced build, I'm guessing that a lot of the part usage is more repetitive than you'd see in a basic set, meaning that there's likely some big parts lots to be had, as well as smaller lots of new parts.

I was actually thinking about drafting, set #21310 Lego old fishing store.. It would be 2949 pieces and $149.99. we could still set a buy in at $50. And get 2 to 3 sets to draft. And I think it's an awesome set brickset.com/sets/21310-1/Old-Fishing-Store

That would be a pretty castle-friendly set. Lots of bley, sand green, olive green, and reddish brown. Figs and accessories aren't that appealing, but that goes for most sets since we don't really have a castle theme right now. I'll hold my final opinions on both Ninjago City and the Fishing Store until parts lists are released

Sets probably release August or September 1st. If the former, I'd expect they'll be available soon!
EDIT: Both sets are set to release September 1st, per TLG Shop at Home site and TBB.

While I hear what you are saying, I think that you are coming from not having looked at the brickheadz sets. Because it is building "people" there are lots of pieces that come in 2, 4, 8 and even 14 per set (Like the super castle piece the Brick, Modified 1 x 2 x 1 2/3 with Studs on 1 Side) - so in my opinion you actually argued for the brickheadz. The other thing with the three brickheadz that I selected there is blue, red, green and black pieces which sounds like the colors of four factions that I could think of. Not that drafting a limited number of the larger sets would not also be cool.

I like the idea of drafting either the ninjago city or fishing store, and I might participate if we do one of those sets (I want some of the parts from those, but probably won't buy the whole sets)

If anyone wants to do a "micro draft" that's mainly sand green, sand blue, dark blue, and castley fig parts, I put forth this little gem for your consideration: Battle of Atlantis - $19.99 Lego Shop at Home LinkBL Inventory List

I have been looking at that set. Would be a good draft set. That as well as set #70608, master falls.
Let me know what you all think.

I am in for whatever we draft.
I love the big new ninjago city, and I love that little Atlantis set.

I am up for either a mega draft or a down and dirty mini draft. The Ninjago movie city definitely has some cool stuff but I think is a bit pricey for everything we could potentially get. I really like the master's bridge, or the atlantis set.
Its up to you all what we do 😝. Lol

All of those look good to me. I would be in on any of those. If we did a small draft I might let my son participate (I would make sure he did his picks, etc).

I am okay with that Rick. My wife would be in on the bridge set. I am getting a couple more to part out for me but I think it is a great set.
So I propose we do a mini draft.
I would like to hear what everyone would prefer.
Atlantis or the master's bridge.
