Outlaws: who won the josdu vs Fritzix battle for the unrestricted finalist. All other polls are now up, I'll edit the unrestricted poll once I've got the finalist I'm pretty sure that he posted earlier up in this thread, around the end of April. But I'm not sure if that is the final vote. you're right, I got it now. it's very early here.....!

With the individual faction winner being the Outlaws - This could just be the first time ever the Outlaws have won a GC!!!!!!! Well done you guys!!Now Lenfald and Outlaws, you need to choose one of the three following options:Option One. Lenfald may establish a settlement at the ruins which will begin at Level 2 and the Outlaws may establish a second Level 2 settlement in their GWI territory OR Option Two. Port Emerald will increase in size by two levels, Abnerburgh will increase size by one level and Port Scurvy will increase in size by two levels (without the normal additional points added for each level) and the Outlaws will gain an additional 25 Global points OR Option Three. Both factions may choose a new Island to claim and build a new settlement on if one faction doesn't want a new island and the other does, then the faction not claiming an island will be rewarded an additional 30 Global points. Well done all, some great entries, although maybe not as many as we'd hoped. As always comments/constructive criticism welcome.

Wow, between the two of us we did it! Congrats my fellow Outlaw Fritzix! I think, personally, my builds should have done immensely better, but at least it's a pleasure to reflect that I did have some hand in winning the GC, if not as much as my good companion Fritzix. And how ought the free forces come to a decision regarding these things?

Congrats to the Outlaws on their (first?) victory! Excited for the next story update and the following GC - hopefully something back on the mainland. Comments - Stiff competition this time; some really great builds from every faction. Criticism - Participation points at the moment have little bearing on the final tally. Although Garheim tied for most participation, we got nothing after the preliminary round leaving us dead last. My two cents (that I know I've voiced before ). I also think that the categories for this one ought to have come down to the themes rather than the sizes i.e. "Ambush", "Defend the Camp", "Run through the Jungle", "The Industrious Homeland", etc.

It was neat/freeing to be able to do any build size category for any of the themes, because of different builders and their inspirations. If anything, it was difficult in comparing different categories (kind of comparing apples to pears) although it was a neat twist to the GC which hasnt(?) been done before. If anything, throwing out a possibility: allowing players to choose which size for which theme, but then voting on the best in each theme. Then you are looking at everything for one category and deciding (for example) whether that bignette was so spectacular for its size as to being better than the large unrestricted. But that way all of the same theme are next to each other. As said, a possibility to try? and open to opinion

Size categories are great way to show off massive builds but also allow those with smaller collections to contribute. If we just had categories be the deciding factor, larger builds would potentially dominate. The voters should take into account not only skill, originality, and "coolness," but also how well the build ties into the category. Also not limiting the categories give more flexibility to the builder. Congrats Outlaws!!! -Drakk **Goes back into hibernation**

I believe this was done to give smaller factions a chance at winning (population between the factions vary greatly and this evens the playing field). I know; I'm one of the people who fought against a strictly participation-based scoring system as my own faction has been dominated in past GCs due to this. I'm just suggesting some sort of booby prize for participating

Sir Caedric Moore Thanks for the feedback. We'll keep it in mind for the next GC. I do find it rather ironic that Garheim did indeed fight so hard against the weight of participation based scoring because of a perceived Lenfald advantage, yet now if we were using the older system Garheim would be much more successful in recent challenges! Sir Daren It's being worked on at the moment. The builds are mostly good to go, just need to work on the story.
