ludzik Arrived today: The quality over all isn't bad, but as you can see something is a bit off... especially with the head (I'm pretty sure it is the actual head and not the helmet - although the helmet colour better matches the centurion CMF not the Legionary.) Good news for you but - the shield is pretty good!

If anything, the "real" version of those spears go for $1.50 each, so that's worth it right there if the quality is decent.

So they came in. I got the barbarian, the elf and the female elven archer.
The head color is a bit off but I don't care about yellow heads. Shields look good. Bows are like the ones that Hawkeye had. Hair has good clutch and so does the body. Interestingly enough arms shipped disassembled from the body.

I may be wrong, but isnt Brickforge and Brickwarrior stuff also produced in china? I saw some of you are using those brands for weapons and custom stuff. Are they good in quallity? I did not find something about this inside the Forum so I thought maybe it would fit in here because technically its not LEGO. Brickwarrior and also Brickforge are a bit expensive and difficult to get in Germany and i dont want to purchase them from us during the large shipping costs and the even larger shipping time they need. A Bricklink order from us arrived me when I nearly already had forgotten that I ordered something (nice surprise tho) Thats why I wanted to ask kindly for your opinion before I will order some of those pieces. Also what about exhibitions and stuff? Are those kind of custom weapons etc allowed? Hope you can answer some of my questions PS: AK_BricksterWhen this is not the right thread for this just split it or move it into an other/own thread.

Just to clarify, are you asking if Brickforge, etc. are high quality? If so, I can vouch that yes, they are very good. Stylistically different from official LEGO parts, but not brittle or poorly made by any means.

Quality of especially Brickforge and Brickwarriors stuff cause I think they both do very nice looking castle related stuff. My second question was if they are allowed on lego exhibitions cause they are technically not lego parts? Especially for WWII stuff i saw this very often on cons but i just dont want to buy something i am not allowed to use later on

If you go to a Con that won't let you display because you have a few third party items, it's a crappy Con, in my opinion!
And yes, most military MOCs have to use 3rd party stuff since Lego just doesnt make much in that department.

Wow! Nice opinion! That is great to hear. Although it is a bit pricy I think I will order some of the dwarven related brickwarrior peaces!

In my experience the Brickwarror and BrickForge pieces are very good quality. Are there any particular pieces you're looking at? I have quite a few of BW/BF pieces and could take some photos if you like.

A number of years ago BF switched over from what is flat silver color (on BL) to pearl light grey. I know as I purchased some pieces recently and they were pearl light grey instead of the flat silver that I have acquired many years before. I asked them and they said they did a transition period but now do not produce any more flat silver because it isn't as popular in Lego themes...which doesn't seem correct to me, but whatev. My thing is that there were some flat silver BF accessories that i would love to get more of in due time

My thing is that there were some flat silver BF accessories that i would love to get more of in due time Unfortunately no, I don't have any. I wasn't aware they used to do a different silver. Like you I dislike their current 'pearl light grey' and I tend to avoid buying pieces in it... which is a shame as they have some really good helmets, my favourite has to be their Viking helmet which is sooooo much better than the official Lego one. I have a number in their 'steel' colour, which goes well with my Lenfel armies. I've found with both Brickforge and Brickwarriors if I want a decent metallic silver I have some old metallic spray paint from my model aircraft days which buffs up to a high shine when polished. I'm not a fan of painting Lego... but it's not really Lego is it! Since changing over to Loreos the lack of decent silver helmets in third party lines has been more of a problem than when I was a Lenfel, has Loreesi armies tend to look better in silver than pearl dark grey! The first Knight in the above picture has a Brickwarriors pig-snout bascinet (Brickwarriors don't even do a silver...! ) that I've sprayed. The second knight has a genuine Lego great helm for comparison. Anyway hope that long-winded answer was of some use!
