what we might want to do is what we've done when we had a single EU participant. whoever you're following would exchange with you detailed pics. you would make your choices based on pics and then get just your selection sent to you. As you're waiting for your stuff you could build and ship your contributions to next person in line and so would the person that shipped stuff to you. that way what crosses the ocean is smaller and less expensive to ship. Downside is that one person ships double (I can do that)
So if you're interested and noone objects I can put you next in line and we can kick it off with the land down under
BTW the above is an option - we can always ship the whole box though then the costs are higher and again I'm not opposed to send to Australia. It'd be great to have a global involvement.
It shouldn't be much different to ship the whole lot, as AK says both would probably be the same bubble mailer rate. I'd prefer the full experience if that's ok!
An alternative may be to put me at the end after the UK guys. Shipping out here from Europe is generally cheaper in my experience (When I bricklink internationally it is usually from Europe, very rarely the US due to the postage!). Then I post back to the States? Just an idea.
I can ship the whole lot. What AK indicated though that small bubble mailer would be cheaper but I think that I should be able to pack all in a bubble mailer so that it doesn't bunch up (long story but it has to do with how USPS defines large envelopes ).
I'd rather put you up front as the Brit portion needs to be at the far end.

I think we should start with who we've got, and more people can join in as we go, once they see pics start to pop up. It will take probably a couple of months to complete the whole thing, even with only 6-7 people, once you factor in shipping time and then a few days delay for each person while they make their swaps and then have to find time to get the package back in the mail. You can pretty easily figure 1 week per person for domestic shipments, more for international.
Yup, we're close enough to my original target start group that I'll ship out this weekend. The shipment to the other side of the world will give extra time for folks to sign up
Like i said I live in England but have a US address you can use me twice if you need/want to. Obviously i would only choose parts once. Up to you... i dont have any international shipping from US to England or vice versa.
