With the permission of the ever so powerful AK I am opening up the signup for the Minifig Jambalaya. I believe that this will be our Fourth one! Since figs are the base of most builds and the previous Minifig Jambas were a blast I think we are long overdue for one! So without further adieu - lets get this party started!
Some of the text below will be cut and paste as the rules are not going to change (much )
Alright, so for anyone that may not be familiar with previous ones, this will be just like other jambalayas you may have participated in with one small change.
We are only exchanging whole figures, so it is overall cheaper, and easier for people with small collections.
I will create 5 minifigures that I will post here within the next few days (I'm hoping for by Friday though Sunday at the latest - 3 year old daughter permitting time to finish them ) to show everyone what we will start with.
The list of figs included are going to be
- "custom" fig - a minifig of your own invention with accessories. Cape optional.
- "fleshie" fig - this is a custom fig with fleshie hands and head, for those who prefer that sort of thing.
- "custom/CMF" fig - this can be either a custom fig, or a castle-related CMF with all accessories.
- "premium custom" fig - this guy should be over-the-top awesome, including several accessories and a cape.
- "stock" fig - this is for those who want to trade out a stock fig or for those who don't have much more than that to trade.
Each fig with accessories comes in an individual bag. You may only select TWO out of the four custom figs to trade out ("stock" fig does not count toward this total). You must swap out an ENTIRE FIG at a time. No picking and choosing parts from several figs.
What this means is that at most you can swap out 3 figs as long as one is a "stock" fig. For example you can swap out a "custom" and a "fleshie" fig as well as a "stock" fig. This does not mean that you can trade out "fleshie" "custom" and a "custom/CMF".
Try to replace your selections with figs that are of equal or greater value. Do your best to be fair with your trades.
There is also a small bag of weapons/food/accessories. You may select up to five of these to trade out, but you must put back one more than you take. For example, if you take 3 items, you must contribute 4 items. This will slowly add variety to the bag for future participants to choose from.
Additionally for those that want to trade some heads - one for one. I ask that folks trade fleshie for yellow and yellow for fleshie. Thanks
Were you ever short a hand? Here's a spot where you can trade out some pairs. Please do not make it all yellow at the end of the road Again pair for pair
Figs should be mostly "purist", with minimal use of 3rd party items.
Contributions to the accessories bag may be 3rd party items.
Everyone will post a picture of their "takes" and their "gives". This will keep the excitement going as people look forward to seeing what everyone is contributing, and whether their favorite fig will make it to them, or get snatched up by someone else!
Sign up below! Please indicate if you live outside the United States so I can plan the package route accordingly. Also vote in the poll so that we can have a quick view of participants location.
We will start once 8 people have signed up. People can continue to sign up after the first 8 spots are filled and they will be added to the list while the package is in transit among the first 8 participants.
I will limit for the time being participation to 15 people. If there is a great level of interest - and the package is moving swiftly I may be inclined to increase the number of participants.
Shipping:
Stateside: must be done with tracking and insurance
Internationally: must be done with at the very least tracking (you can ship as a large envelope with tracking - contact me for details when we get to that point).
Please plan for your figs ahead of time. Also if you have upcoming travel or lack of availability let me know - we can move the schedule around just to make sure that the package does not get stuck.
Participants:
Must be in good standing with feedback on MB. If you are new to MB (participant for less then 2 months) with little or no trade feedback - please reach out to me. If you are an old timer with no feedback or negative feedback - please reach out to me.
