All,
I've had a request from a member for a slightly late submission on an unrestricted entry. As the host I am happy to accept it, pending any strong objections from the rest of the KC.
Are there any other unrestricted entries in the works that didn't quite make it. Is there any appetite to extend the unrestricted (and only the unrestricted) deadline until the 31st? (Perhaps entries submitted after today will only be worth 4 points or something to make it fair on those who made the original deadline?)

I'd love an extension for the unrestricted. I have no qualms about point reduction. My father passed away recently, and there's been no time for LEGO. Not that LEGO is more important, but I'd still like to finish up my entry and submit it.

While that increases competition for the top prize I am all for extension so that more can participate. Merry Xmas!

While it would have been preferable to officially announce an extension before the deadline, I have no major objection. It would be good to get more entries. Your call, Ayrlego .

Terrific participation everyone, and I'm OK with a very short extension if there were extenuating circumstances. However, let's respect the effort that everyone else made to get their builds finished on time.
I had a blast looking at all of the entries! I do love me some minifigs!

I took the pictures, but ran out of time to post them. I was away for a week and a half due to losing two family members in short order.

I certainly see no issue with allowing already finished entries that were not posted in time due to unforeseen circumstances. (There is precedent for that.)

When my father passed away on December 9th (and it was completely unexpected; he had no health problems), we've had family and friends over more than once every day, and with school, I've had no time to upload nor take pictures of my finished castle. I also doubt I'd be able to post until Christmas Eve (the 24th), so if possible I'd like an extension for a little while.

Well, and I was the one who first asked for an extension, my own position is that I have one entry all ready to add to this thread that I simply had no time to upload before (had a long trip.. though it wasn't unforeseen I admit, still ran out of time), but also, if there is a veritable extension, I could complete another castle which I had planned for the CCC anyway and enter it for a Wildcard, which I had no time to do before. I mainly asked when I saw how few the Outlaws had managed to enter. Whatever is decided is fine though, and a reduced amount of points seems logical and fair.

Ok, so we have Lord Silver , mattiusxavier and josdu who all have virtually finished entries but due to unforeseen circumstances (my condolences to those who have lost someone) where unable to post. If there is anyone else in this category they have 24 hours to let me know. I will accept entries from you guys above (will a week be enough?) at a reduced participation point rate of 4 personal/faction points. They can still compete to win. Further I propose that all unrestricted entries are voted on rather than the usual faction finalists only. ludzik , Sir Caedric Moore , Fritzix , thedonald13 and Kingdomviewbricks , are you guys who met the deadline ok with this? If you wanted to resubmit photos or make minor adjustments I'd be ok with that...

Sounds good Ayrlego ! One thing: Do you have a specific date when they'll be due? A week should be good, and I'll try to get it in as quick as I can, but I might only be able to get it in Saturday or Sunday at the earliest... I'll try for an earlier day though. Thanks!

Ayrlego: I'm good with that. Uh, oh... When mattiusxavier gets his entry in, Loreos and Lenfald will be tied! This is going to be a nail-biter!

We'll be tied for participation points, points for winning categories (there are 50 points up for grabs this time with five categories to win) and getting the most total votes and second most total votes means that it could still pretty much go either way, or to Garheim, who aren't that far behind either. The Outlaws have a good chance of winning at least one category, but are probably too far behind to completely catch up, although they could narrow the gap. That's my analysis anyway....

I'm good with that. BTW I won't do corrections or additions as I'm an ocean away from my keep.
