Is there anywhere which describes how the islands are governed for each faction? Lenfald has a New Lenfald thread that indexes all their builds there and names the Governor. They also have a Lenfald Influential Leaders and Citizens (NPC) thread that describes their leadership. To my knowledge none of the other factions have anything like that.... (old Lenfel pride resurfacing here.... must suppress it!! ) From some of his builds ( eg this one) I gather Trenton Blackwater ( crazylama) is Governor of Port Valiant (not sure if this is official or not), and Garheim has named Andrey Reisson as Governor for Andarheim. It's really up to each faction and mostly hasn't really been fleshed out. Feel free to propose something for Port Valiant. We should probably do our own thread like the greenies.

Loreos/Port Valiant/Economy/Unrestricted Port Valiant Market and Customs House
Port Valiant customs house is where traders apply for their licences and pay their taxes, and in front of which the weekly market is held. Here we see the hustle and bustle of a typical market day, with traders selling their wares under the watchful eye of the colonial authorities. See more pictures in the Merlin's beard thread, or in the Flickr album. The footprint is 32 x 64 studs, hence an unrestricted entry. (This should mean Port Valiant levels up if my understanding is correct)

Loreos/Port Valiant/Economy/Restricted Loreos/Port Valiant/Economy/Restricted by THEDONALD13, on Flickr The first order of business in the Western Isles was for Loreesi to set up new milling operations. The new influx of forested lands has allowed Loreos to maintain lumber independence. Though a slow process at first, they have gotten much better and more efficient with processing and transportation of the goods. At one of the larger facilities WITO representative, Keidler de Blaxton oversees the cutting and drying before they are loaded onto one of the newest and largest Loreesi ships.

This was a build from the GC which I never posted here: Lenfald / Abnerburgh / Military / UnrestrictedAnd a new build for April: Lenfald / Abnerburgh / Agriculture / Restricted
Agriculture is extremely important to the survival of the new colony of Abnerburgh, so the new colonists have begun raising crops at once. Hogs are a crucial animal brought from the mainland, as they are well suited to life in the forest and can forage much of their food, while at the same time clearing the dense vegetation for future crops. Pineapples and other new crops are also grown in the tropical climate.

Loreos/Port Valiant/Economy/Unrestricted Tabashii's Tea House
While not originally created by the Skudae, the art of the tea ceremony is most significantly associated with them, and a number of tea houses exist in their capital of Civus Skudae. One of the most famous tea masters is Tabashii, who moved to the Western Isles to seek his fortune amongst the new Loreesi nobility. The nouveau riche of Port Valiant are frequently seen in his establishment, soaking up what they see as Skudae culture. This experience does not come cheap, and Tabashii himself has amassed considerable wealth from their desire to seek out new experiences and cultures. See more pictures in the Flickr album. The footprint is 34 x 38 studs, hence an unrestricted entry.

Lenfald / Abnerburgh / Agriculture / Restricted
After the initial clearing of the jungle surrounding the town of Abnerburgh, shrubs and plants over took most of the cleared land. This made it almost impossible for grazing animals such as cows and sheep to find any substantial food in the thick foliage. But it was soon found that unlike cows and sheep, goats could survive on the shrubs and even bring the grass level down to where other seed types such clover could grow without being strangled by the native flora. Goats became and increasing important aspect of survival for the small colony and many goat farms were set up to help with the clearing of jungle for farmland and crops.

Lenfald / Abnerburgh / Agriculture / RestrictedThe Millson Vineyard
Willan Millson is an independent adventurous young man who wants to see the world; even the parts that are unfriendly to Lenfels. His betrothed, Sif, feels the same way. So when it was announced that the Great Western Isles where open for colonization and that adventurous young people were needed, they started making plans. They made plans for earning and saving money. They calculated how long it would be before they had enough for passage on a ship with enough left over to equip a small farmstead. If they started saving right away and lived very simply after they were married they could move to Fýrdraca in ten years. But their village had other ideas. See the rest of the story on Flickr. I built this to fill the last two agriculture points needed for Abnerburgh to level up. Then Ember beat me to it with his lovely post on goats. Oh well. Who doesn't need more agriculture? Now for Governance and Economy. This was inspired by a similar swing under vines that I keep driving past. Enjoy!
