Alright, So, builds for the colonization challenge will be counted as a separate build limit from FBs and Guild builds. You will be allowed up to TWO builds for the challenge per month. Points will be 1, 2 and 4 for the prospective size categories (Other KC correct me if I am wrong.) As to multiple categories being fulfilled by one build, we have yet to address this. For now, one build = one category, but this is subject to change once the KC has actually gotten a chance to talk about it. Thanks

Someone really needs to post the overall rules fully fleshed out to avoid confusion. And since I'm one of those still a bit woozy on all this it can't be me

Another question to add confusion . Would you be allowed to use one of the colonization builds as a Guild entry if you choose to?

Another question to add confusion . Would you be allowed to use one of the colonization builds as a Guild entry if you choose to? No problem Carrick, keep the questions coming!! To answer the guild question, No entries in this challenge may not be used as guild entries. As per the Guild Hall rules (quoted below for reference) Guild builds may not be used for any other LoR challenge. Each building challenge must be separate from the other. You may not combine objectives into the same MOC, nor may you use a MOC from other LCC challenges as a guild entry. You should include a short story that explains the MOC and your character's development with each build. Lastly, as with any MOC, you must make sure that your builds have plenty of thought and effort put into them. This is about proving your skill, not racing to complete the tasks. For this reason, only two submissions will be accepted per month unless you have received special permission from the Guildmaster. crazycrownieguy is right. Your builds in the challenge DO NOT count as freebuilds and you will be awarded the same amount of personal points as the build is worth for this challenge. Thus 1 point for a bignette, 2 points for restricted and 4 points for unrestricted. So in summary your build limits per calendar month are now: 2 freebuilds 2 colonisation challenge builds 2 guild builds A build in one of these categories above can not be used in another. For example a build can not be used as a freebuild AND a colonisation build. Or another build can not be a guild entry and a free build. That would be double dipping!! Make sense? However, one exception. If your faction has a Local Challenge and you make a build that fits any of the categories for this colonisation challenge. You may post it here for points for your faction settlement. You will NOT however receive personal points for it as you will have already been awarded personal points for the Local Challenge. I guess what I'm trying to say is that one build can only receive personal points once. Clear as mud? And back to the colonisation challenge. A build for this challenge may only count towards one category (eg Military, Economic, Agriculture or Governance). So for example if you build a fort that has a farm inside the walls, you need to decide if you want it to count as military or agriculture. It may not count for both. Please continue to post any questions you have. I'll update the first post to include some of these clarifications. Cheers,

Ok to kick this off here is a build for Port Emerald! Lenfald / Port Emerald / Agriculture / RestrictedA small banana plantation on the outskirts of Port Emerald. With there popularity in Roawia, farmers can make a tidy profit selling their crops to fast trading vessels homeward bound!

Loreos / Name TBD / Governorship / Unrestricted Trenton observed the progress on the Governor's Mansion. After several month his new residence was nearly complete. It sat on a plot of land in the jungle on the edge of the Loreos' Western Isle. He still couldn't believe that he had been appointed to the governorship of the isle. Now he had to make the most difficult decision of his life... stone or wooden floors.

Great build. I believe however that the Great Western Isles have no indigenous occupants...so obviously those Orcs and Undead came from a ship of some kind Probably a nefarious plot by unknown factions/persons to destabilise our glorious colony. (New) Lenfald shall prevail! ALL: If I 'like' your entry in this thread it means that I have updated your factions settlement points in the first post! For Lenfels I'll edit your post when I've added your personal points as usual.

Loreos / Port Valiant / Military / Unrestricted Founding of Ad Undas by THEDONALD13, on Flickr The Eastern fleet made landfall in the Western Isles after several weeks departure from Dalmanutha. The Prosecutor and her support vessels began unloading supplies and men in their colonization effort. Under Gerrick Stout's (son and heir to the Stowburn holdings) leadership they landed in the center island of a protected cove and proceeded to set up a forward naval base and lighthouse. For the Glory of Loreos!

Great work Loreos! Port Valiant is growing nicely! To bring Port Emerald up to the next level, here is a small economic build. Lenfald / Port Emerald / Economy / BignetteFreddie the Fisherman sets up his stall on the beach every morning after he returns ashore with his catch. This morning he has returned with a shark!

Lenfald / Abnerburgh / Military / BignetteThe site selected by Lenfel explorers to situate their nation’s second settlement in the new world and the first on the island of Fýrdraca is known as Abnerburgh, named in honour of Abner of Darrenspar who led the voyage that discovered the new world. Abnersburgh is located inland and is nestled in the cooler foot hills overshadowed by the Eastern end of the Nightfall Mountain Chain that spans the island. The Nightfall mountains are named in reference to the fact that Fýrdraca is the western-most land in the known world and are the last land to feel the kiss of the sun’s light in the evening. The sight overlooks a large un-named lake which feeds another un-named river that flows to the distant ocean. Using stone from shipped up the river from a quarry near Port Emerald, the initial colonisation party has constructed a small stone watch tower in the rocky crags overlooking the site. The design is typically Lenfel, indeed the tower would not look out of place in a forest back in Roawian Lenfald. Although the vegetation was initially cleared around the base, it has sprung back rapidly. The tower was the first permanent building constructed in the settlement and serves as notice of Lenfald’s intent to claim and settle the island of Fýrdraca.
The first entry for Abnerburgh and also my submission in my first brawl versus Lord Silver

Garheim/Andarheim/Military/Bignette Andarheim Tower by Zane Reichley, on Flickr Andarheim Tower by Zane Reichley, on Flickr First build for Andarheim!!! The outer wall of of Andarheim is well garrisoned and constantly improved to fend off wild animals and other factions' attacks. Using stone from nearby mines and wood from the plentiful jungles, the walls and lookout towers are easy to produce and secure. As most Garheim architects are unused to building with large amounts o wood, they decide to use wood as supports in this section of the wall.
This is also my entry for Ayrlego and myself's rival brawl. KC Edit: Could you add the format similar to David's build above? Faction/City/Category/Size. Thanks
