Pros/Cons to each set suggested above:
Elves Treetop Hideaway Pros - lots of new colors and sand green decorative fences. Large 'standard' plates. Cons - lots of 'girl' colors that might not be terribly useful to castle builders. Minidolls instead of minifigs.
Chima Saber-tooth Walker Pros - lots of cool trans light blue parts and good stuff for building dragons. Cons - lots of technic parts that might not be terribly useful to castle builders.
Pirates Soldier's Fort Pros - New dark red masonry bricks. Some good castle parts and white pieces for snowy landscapes Cons - Minifigs, flag and cannon not great for castle builders.
Hobbit Attack on Laketown Pros - Closest to a "castle set", the figs are great and pretty much all parts are useful to castle builders. Cons - Lots of brown. Fleshie figs not most people's preference

My vote for sets is 1. pirate fort 2. Lake Town
I am proposing a one set draft to make it go faster though with pirate fort we might want to potentially tack on something else small as well.
Number of people should be dependent on the size of a draft I.e. pirate fort should have fewer participants then for example Laketown.
Oh yeah sign me up.

Yeah, I was thinking 6 for a smaller set, 8 for a larger set.

I am in as I will host the draft I vote for the elves set. Price per piece point is at .09 cents. There really isnt a whole lot of girl parts in this set. And we get new elf hair. Also would go for a lake town set as well. But it is up to you guys also to be up front my wife helps a ton with these drafts when I host and she is intrested in drafting for her own collection, but is not on any of the forums. So count 2 spots filled for us, and we both lean towards the elf set too...

I'm certainly in. Even with the downfall's of the last one. I found once Lilcurt took action on it and moderated the movement within the google doc we had a really good thing going. Also I really like the choices on this one...but that Elves tree top has me super interested...as a set on its own I would probably not buy it...but the chance to get some purple leaves en masse...along with red apples.

Hey guys I have 3 of the sets above and will go through them as to what I feel are also pros and cons in a bit. The best bang for the buck out of all these sets is the elves set. Anyways stay tuned Edit: So for the treetop hideaway; Here are the parts brickset.com/sets/41075-1/The-Elves-Treetop-HideawayPrice point as I noted is about $.09. Total pink/blue bubble gummy parts total #73 pieces or Approx 14 % of the kit parts ( All limbs included in this group ). Not including the mini dolls animals. Which still leaves about 375 parts in good castle colors. a good mix of newer Reddish brown slopes and tree parts, Tans, Etc... Here are the parts to the saber ( I don't own this set ); brickset.com/sets/70143-1/Sir-Fangar-s-Sabre-Tooth-WalkerPrice Point is at $.09 Per piece. Price $39.99 at Lego.com As AK Noted a lot of Technic Pieces, Ball joint etc... If your into building Dragons this set is a good parts pack. However drafting could be difficult because of parts designed to work together may be split in different lots, Pending the groups decision. Also Some specialized Chima parts that don't blend well within the Castle Realm, and lots of trans blue that is not basic brick. Pirates Soldier Fort; Here are the parts brickset.com/sets/70412-1/Soldiers-FortPrice per piece is at $.12 This would be a good set for Pirate lovers or a set to Build Mediterranean castle. The whites are not good for snow scapeing and very large and clunky bricks IMHO. The set itself is fairly juniorized in its build. Meaning lots of basic brick. The red masonary brick which is a key point, there are only 6 in each set, Not as many as one would hope for. Also The pirates related parts detract from this set as a generic set totaling Approx 26 Pieces, or about 12% of the set. Laketown; Price per Piece about $.09 Here is the parts list, brickset.com/sets/79016-1/Attack-on-Lake-townThis is the most castleish set as AK noted. Price per piece better then Pirates and has more "Useable" parts then Pirates. Down fall, Not everyone likes fleshies, Also as noted above Lots of Browns. However a good set for mini figure parts. So definitely a lot to think on. I still think that the Elves is the best bang for the buck because of Current Rare parts i.e. the Limb color, red apples, Elf hair, Large Plates, etc... Also the Trans Purple Chain! Anyone else have any other sets to put in the mix, I am open to sugestions. My wife and I are willing to do up to 10 draft participants, with set pieces totaling 500-600 pcs. Discussion is open Also Once set is narrowed down; and the list of participants is chosen I will start the "Official" draft thread with all rules outlined. As AK stated don't sign up if you don't have the funds as I will not be able to Float any participants Set.

Movie Cavalry set I just scored two of them at lego B&M store for $18 each if we could get enough of them that might be a good way to go.

I would like to be be part of the draft. I would be happy to draft any of the sets, but I do prefer all of the sets to be same (since I like getting large numbers of the same piece from the draft).
My order of preference would be:
Elves Treetop Hideaway Hobbit Attack on Laketown Pirates Soldier's Fort Chima Saber-tooth Walker

I am absolutely interested. Of those mentioned, I would be most interested in the elves or Laketown set. I would love to draft the Wizard Battle if it were bigger. If we do a medium sized set, might we consider adding it?

Don't mean to mess up anything, but it seems like no one wants to do The Chima set. How about you do this:
Pick between:
Elves Treetop Hideaway: 49.99
Pirate Soldiers Fort and Soldiers Outpost 49.98
The Hobbit Attack on Laketown and The Hobbit Witch King Battle. 44.98
They'll all about fifty now. Just a suggestion though.

I am in. I like the soldiers forts or the hobbit sets. Or an elves set with a high amount of pieces. You all pick, I'll draft anything lol
I am uninterested in anything Chima.
