Hi, Guys. What do you think of attempting a LoR World War - essentially a quest for the crown. I'm not sure of all the mechanics, but essentially it could function something like a massive game of Risk/Brawling tournament: Major cities/territories will be identified within each realm. Builders within each fraction then are assigned or select the territory they start in. Then in a turn based fashion, the builders will build based on what action they choose to do, defend/attack, and will get points, like in a GC, for that, plus then (not sure about this part) maybe a vote happens to add points, and maybe the number of ruled territories will be added points (or troops?) spread across battles the next round or something. Based on that, characters will be eliminated and territories conquered. Maybe the conquered territories's builders can choose to join the conquering faction for the remainder of the war or be eliminated/captured. Maybe if the builder elects not to pledge arms to the capturing faction they will remain captive in that territory, and if another faction captures it, they can have the opportunity to pledge arms again. When the dust settles, the winning faction will have a king/queen ascend to the throne.

Really neat herostand, it looks like you have put a lot of thought into this! The KC will certainly look into all these thoughts. We are always interested in knowing what the players think of the game.

That would actually be pretty fun. And the attacks/defenses would be illustrated by MOCs. Dunharris shall stand for Garheim! Only problem is we already had a war for the crown...

it is a great idea, but i agree, too many big big wars... the population needs to grow and get back to "normal" for a bit i think... the wastelands are still in turmoil but everywhere else is in mourning and recovery right now.

it could be like a battle over an island that is discovered that is somewhere in the ocean, decently far off the mainland; a mini-continent, so to speak.

If it is done with my idea, it could be like a global challenge, but without effecting the mainland. It wouldn't be a major war.

Thanks for the ideas, guys. We take stuff like this into consideration when planning the future of LoR and will discuss these ideas further amongst the KIngs Counil
