Fellow Lenfels! The Summer Joust contest on Flickr has just begun, and it has some great categories for LoR builds. One of the main categories is the Castle Collaboration, in which up to four builders work together to create builds showing different parts of a castle. We're assembling a Lenfel team, so if you're interested, head over to this thread and let us know. We can even have more than one team if more than four are interested. I participated in our Summer Joust collab last year, (you see our work here.) It was a lot of fun, and a great opportunity to get critique and discuss techniques, so I'd encourage everyone to try it. It's also a great way to advertise for LoR and Lenfald.

I photographed this build a month ago and even edited most of the pictures. So here it is my second merchants guild build Finally posted on flickr and this forum. (And can I say Awesome Global update?!) This is a rather boring build. The next one will have to be very exciting to make up for it. I will finally be able to show you my draft mules!! (Horses are dwarfed by the wagon so I brick built large grey mules to pull it.) Edit: +1 point, KVB 3 May

Allow me to introduce my secondary character for Lands of Roawia! (Soft wood wind music) Zarria Elfwind! She is seventeen years old and about to leave home for the first time, just in time to participate in Global Challenge XV. I have plans to use Zarria Elfwind to complete the Hero Guild Challenges and join the Lenfald Elite Forerunner Troop (LEFT, aka Harbingers). And that is about it. I also built this lovely tree for the June Micro Challenge. My first attempt at this style of trunk and I really like how the foliage turned out. Edit: +2 points, KVB 6 Jul

A free build for June, and also the first time I have used borders on one of my builds (having finally acquired the pieces necessary) Archery Practice:
Archery Practice (1) by Clyde Mooney, on Flickr "Don't miss." Daren carefully let the tension down on his bow and glared at Melandra, who was grinning after her jibe. "If you don't keep quiet, I might shoot in the completely wrong direction." Daren said, through clenched teeth. Earlier in the day, the conversation had come to a point where Daren's friend Tobe asked Melandra how good she was at archery. This wasn't an odd question, as she had procured a bow before joining their mercenary company. Melandra said that she was decent, but followed it up by stating that if she and her new commander faced each other with bows, she wouldn't have anything to worry about. Daren thought she was just stating how good she was, but then he caught Melandra's grin as she looked in his direction and he caught the veiled jibe. Thus, here he was proving that he had picked up a bow more than just once in his life. He wasn't half bad, although not superb. But with the pretty Melandra looking over his shoulder, focusing on the target was more difficult. "Hmmm, with your aim I would be less concerned if you were aiming at me," Melandra replied, smiling. Daren, swore silently to himself. He wouldn't miss in spite of Melandra's distracting. Cause if he did, Daren knew he would never hear the end of it. Edit: +2 points, KVB 6 Jul

Here is my contribution to the Lenfel team for the Summer Joust this year. It depicts a wall of the now well established main fortifications of Port Emerald, the largest and strongest colony in the Western Isles. Here, where the wall runs along the ocean, a specialized dock and crane are used for landing supplies and bringing them into the castle without the weakness of another gate. +4 points, +2 points for GC intro build, KVB 6 Jul

This is a free build from June, depicting the Goblin District in the lower levels of the Shade, (the Outlaw "capital" city). The concept is based on a build from the Outlaw October challenge last year. +2 points, KVB 10 Jul

Port Emerald Barracks, built for the Summer Joust Collaboration. Here is one of the barracks, located along the wall; it is reflective of the Lenfeld style of building in wood and stone and is built against an outer wall so that soldiers could rush to the defenses in case of an attack. It also has a training yard where soldiers can train or show off their skills. Port Emerald Barracks (1) by Clyde Mooney, on Flickr +4 points, KVB 13 Jul

My first of hopefully several entries to GC XV. The first line of defense for the Lenfel forces on Fýrdraca is the dense jungle surrounding their warcamps. Their superior woodcraft and knowledge of the geography allows them to move undetected and harry the advancing Loreesi and Garhiem columns constantly with deadly guerrilla attacks. Under the direction of Hans Zarkan and Jaecar Talon, the area surrounding the war camps has been laced with carefully laid traps and ambush points. Sappers have dug pits in dried stream beds and other open areas, then covered them carefully with soil and vegetation. Here, an unfortunate column of Loreesi troops has stumbled into such a pit trap, while a hidden band of scout snipers lets fly their arrows to finish the job. +2 points, KVB 24 Jul

My first entry for Global Challenge XV with another one to hopefully follow.
"Patience" I whisper in a hushed voice. We had been tracking a lone group of Loreos/Garheim men heading south, most likely trying to reunite with the rest of the main invading force. While the rest of my squad, myself included hated chasing men all over the jungle I knew it was necessary. Picking off soldiers before they could become a stronger force would be essential if we were to win Fýrdraca. "Ember, we have been waiting here for hours!" States Arya, a new member of my squad. "They will come" I say calmly. The annoyance of the squad dies down once again and the loud singing of the topical birds are the only thing that can be heard. We had gone ahead of this Loreos force in hope of ambushing them in the valley which I knew lay ahead a short distance from our current position. We had set up our camp just above a narrow ledge. And this is where we had waited. Hours ticked by. As the sun began to set doubt was starting seed in my own mind. Was I right? Would they come this way? This valley was one of the easier ways to traverse the thick jungles of Fýrdraca. Most of the valley was swamp, but there were ledges on the side of the opposing cliffs that were wide enough for people to go single file along them. These ledges provided a way to stay relatively hidden while staying away from the dangers of the swamps. Just as I was about to call it a day I heard a cough. I glance at my fellow rangers. They all heard it too. We all silently got into the positions I had given them. Once again we hear a cough, this time louder. From where I am posed I can just make out the bright red of a Loreos plume coming around a turn the ledge. From what I can see there was around 13 men, all oblivious to the fate that awaited them. As the group came closer I could see who had alerted us to their presence. A Garheim crossbowman. Red rashes streaked his face. He wouldn't be the first person to be prey of the many viruses that lurk in these jungles. The men continue along the pass, having to go sideways at a narrow point just above us. I give the signal. Arrows fly. Edit: +2 points, KVB 27 Jul

Fellow Lenfels!I have two very important announcements. - With his latest build, Port Emerald Keep, Mitah Val Karem has earned over 200 personal points in the Lands of Rowia. Therefore, please give a huge congratulations to Mitah on becoming the first ever Lenfel to achieve the rank Captain of Lenfald!Mitah is our longest active member, and has constructed an impressive portfolio of builds over the years, not to mention designing the superb maps we now use. This is a well-deserved honor. Congratulations! - Secondly, due to a widespread outbreak of Real Life, the deadline for GC XV has been moved to August 20th. That means you should all have plenty of time to finish your entries. Don’t forget, the outcome of this GC will directly determine the outcome of the Battle for Fyrdraca, and furthermore, this time Lenfel territory is on the line: whichever side wins the challenge will win the conflict in the storyline and gain control of Southern Fyrdraca. So build for Lenfald, and let’s throw those invaders back into the sea!
