Hmm, this GC reminds me of the Garheim Local Challenge 21, so I don't think that I will participate in this one.
But I am looking forward to see what you guys are building, I expect a lot of great entries.

Hmm, this GC reminds me of the Garheim Local Challenge 21, so I don't think that I will participate in this one. But I am looking forward to see what you guys are building, I expect a lot of great entries. Keep in mind that A) your faction earns global points for each entry, so participation is important in that regard, B) your entries can be used for the Colossal Castle Contest over at Classic-Castle.com, and C) we are giving away some nice prizes to the winners!

My vig entry-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-Band of Gold-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- A copper-haired beauty in her twenties, Eren Njordson lived with her father Torvald at the Orevale Winery just outside of town. Her uncle Bison was a well known fisherman and had even been the runner-up in last year's fishing tournament, although he was sort of a laughing stock this year having caught nothing. With life returning to normal in Garheim and things finally settling down in the city of Orevale, I have free time to wander about the town. Every day just before the church bells ring twelve, Eren takes her mare into town to deliver crates of fresh grapes and bottles of wine to her family's market stall. For the last few weeks, I have accompanied her each morning and love has blossomed between us. "It's a beautiful day," I said in a weak attempt at making small talk. The day truly was beautiful, I thought as we passed beneath a stone arch and walked into the city gardens, but all of my attention was on Eren. "Aye, that it is, Caedric," Eren said beside me, laughing. "There's no need to be shy - I know why you look so handsome today." "You... you do?" I stammered. "Aye," she said with a smile, twirling her copper hair with her fingers. "I think I do." "You may be right," I replied, reaching into my pocket and taking a knee. "Eren, I've loved you since the day I first laid eyes upon you. Your beauty and your laughter makes my life whole, and I would spend the rest of my days with you, if you'd have me. Will you marry me?" "Yes, Caedric," Eren said, tears in her eyes flashing that beautiful smile again. "Yes, I'll marry you!" -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- My Restricted entry-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-Orevale Winery-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- "I swear it, Eren. It was the Headless Horseman!" Torvald insisted before knocking back a whole flagon of wine. "If you say so, Father. Looks like Caedric has caught a big one!" "Aye, it's an Orevale Bass. Oi, Caedric! Hurry up and cook yer minnow there so we can pick the rest of these grapes, eh?" -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- Comments and criticism welcome! Ronin

With my first semester of college ending in the next 3-4 weeks, and Thanksgiving break next week hopefully I will have the time to post a build, or two. Haven't done anything for LoR since May (2014), and haven't entered a GC since GCVII. Can't wait to be back!

Back to NormalityMy entry to the Restricted category. LoR/CCCXII - Back to Normality by ~Erathor Pridenar~, on Flickr Story: It felt like an age since Erathor had last spent quality time at home, in Sarenhold. Now he had been back for little over a week, and he was relishing every moment of it, knowing well that he may have to travel south soon, to Dalmunatha, to apply for a position in the Council of Loreos.
The day was bright and fresh, the sun’s rays not as strong as they had been for much of the past month, and Erathor was glad of it. His time in the south of Loreos as a prisoner had been made all the worse due to the fact that it had been unbearably hot in the stuffy, dirty cells. He shook the thought out of his head, not wishing to think on it anymore. His wife gave him a playful nudge. “What’s wrong?” Eleanor asked. “You’re quiet!” “Nothing, nothing at all,” Erathor replied quickly, grinning as he gazed at her. “I cannot believe it. You are with child.” It was her turn to break into a broad smile now, remembering her husband’s ecstatic response when he’d returned. “I can hardly believe it myself. Honestly, it feels like just last week we were being married. It’s not, of course, but you know what I mean.” The lord chuckled. It really was good to be home. Looking around he took in the surroundings, a dry land scattered with trees and small villages. Peasants moved here and there, going about their daily business. It felt like a different world entirely to the Sarenhold he had known only a few months back, when Galainir had been in control. Ahead of the couple was an old shepherd, leading his flock along the road. He bowed stiffly when he saw his lord, then began to move the sheep onto the wayside. Instead, Erathor and his wife stepped off, letting him pass, and when he bowed again it seemed a lot more meaningful, almost vigorous. At the same moment a farmer lugging along a large cart rushed past, a look of determination so strong on his face that even the old man smiled when he saw it. Eleanor glanced up at the lord and laughed softly, taking his hand as normal life continued around them.

Hmm, apparently I can fit my Castle Building CCCXII category entry into this. So here it is. Restricted entry - Archery: CCC XII: Castle Building by IronBricks, on Flickr Inside an old Queen's outpost, Gavin's band practices and rests after the exhausting but successful battle against Maldrake, the wizard. They lost their elvish archer, which was a blow to them. He was their most agile fighter after the loss of their assassin, and their best bowman. Now it was up to Joseph alone to provide support during fights. So Gavin began to train Joseph to become a better archer. Day after day they spent hours outside in the yard. Joseph made great strides. Soon he would be one of the best archers in the entire Outlaw lands.

Here's my vignette entry: The annual Autumn Feast The preparations for the annual Autumn Feast were almost finished as the last guests entered beyond the outer gates. In there numbers were many elves, dwarves and even few men (those had to be lead by special elf guides), all being in excited anticipation. In the middle of a big woodland clearing was set up a long oak table with marvellous carvings. On its sides were benches for the guests. At the top of the table was a high chair for the host. The clearing was surrounded by tall oaks, ashes and elms, some of them bearing torches with blue flames. Here and there a golden leaf of a birch fell lightly upon the ground. * The feast began. At first the wonderful elven cooks teased the guests with delicious starters and some Loreesi wine. After the starters was brought out the main course: big roasted hogs. The clearing was filled with laughter, and chatting as the guests ate and drank. Near the middle of the feast the butlers finally brought out the famous elvish wine. Within a few minutes the place was full of cheerful roaring. The men, not used to such strong drinks were red, and some of them dozed off with smiles on their faces. The dwarves endured it with less effort, though a few already started to hiccup. Others muttered something about 'hairy little women'. Suddenly an elf that gone drunk himself stood up and started a funny song 'there once as a troll who went on a stroll'. Immediately others joined in and the racket and voices awakened some Garhims sleeping at the table. Other elf jumped into the table itself and danced along to the song, rising an uproar of laughter. Glorfindel sat on his tall chair, amused, drinking the fifteenth cup of wine. Meanwhile the dwarves started their own drunken song and accompanied it with the stamping and clapping... Such merriment continued into the late night in the light of the torches. Many dwarves and elves already slept, others with reddened faces hoarsely sang merry songs. The elven lord himself was on the brink of dozing off.

Here is my vig: A Desperate Charge A Desperate Charge! by W. Navarre, on Flickr Story here. Btw, though this doesn't look like "going back to normal" the queens men need to be gotten rid of, and just because what is left of the queen's forces are broken and retreating doesn't mean that they can't get in peoples way.

Hey, I just got an idea, but I'm not sure it would be ok; Can I rebuild something I already built in a different category, for another category (obviously either bigger, or smaller) ? I know that's weird, but is it ok?
