Sir Caelan Munro, what are we using for the water? I want to do a sea section, but I need some guidance. I was thinking having my character's ship fend off a Loreesi warship. Thoughts?

RBC, I'm not in charge of this one. I'm doing the Waterloo display. Schmidt is Captain of this ship by thunder! Whoa, went a little Long John Silver there for a moment...

Schmidt is indeed at the helm on this display, and I don't mean to speak for him, but if I remember correctly we were planning on doing trans blue/dark blue studs spread on top of blue baseplates in the "deeper" water sections, and then trans light blue for more "shallow" sections, and white for waves and breaks. Basically this -

Zach can certainly speak for me, he is right (assuming we have the studs, I do not). I like to think of Zach as my PIC, or partner in crime. With Collaborations, running a faction, etc. Us Outlaws have to stick together you know I'm going to be putting in some major work on the city this week. I'll post pictures and what nots.

ha, I completely forgot about this. I don't think I can do a large part, but I do have some extra water studs, can bring some left over minifigs I don't use in my own mocs, and maybe some small patch work. If ya need anything like that, I'll see what I can get my hands on.

I can bring a lot of those light blue studs. Also what do you guys want me to put in the 3 baseplates I'm doing?

Unfortunately it's looking like I won't be able to go to Brickfair this year after all, so I won't be able to do those modules

Unfortunately, like Marek, I'm going to have to say probably not on this one. I have a really busy summer and at this point it's my looking like it's going to happen.

At this point, we really need a tally of who IS most definitely coming, and how many modules, if any, they are bringing. More than minifigures (which are appreciated) we need confirmed modules. I'd rather not put out a lot of effort to get stuff done only to end up with a half- finished display. We really need to see where we're at, and if things are too ambitious versus what can realistically get done between now and Brickfair (about 2 months away at this point!!) then we either need to tone things down, or just each bring our own collection of LoR MoCs.

Besides maybe a public day visit, it's looking like I'm not attending the whole week/weekend again this year I'm sure I can work out building some additional town "stuffs" to liven up the display though.

Right then,
So as established before, the hard part here is not the modules per se, but the buildings. 2/3 of our MOC is either a blue baseplate, or a baseplate with very minimal building. As it stands, I could probably build all of the landscaping modules outside the castle walls (assuming I have enough dark tan).
What I am mulling over in my mind is how we can effectively coordinate the city and docks. My initial thought is that we all build buildings that we can just set inside the city walls and hold them in place with pips on the edge. Then, we can just build a standard street or so.
Personally, I have already built three buildings (two large and one small) to place inside the city. The two large ones will take up an entire baseplate. This takes out a lot of the building already.
My suggestion is that we start building buildings to put inside the city wall. If we have our buildings completed before BFVA, then literally, the only thing we would have to do for the display would be to set up the minifigures and build a standard road within the city walls. I am thinking the road doesn't have to be set in stone. This way, we aren't bogged down to a standard and we can put buildings in wherever we want in an agreeable, good presentation.
Any thoughts on what I've mentioned?
Spencer are you still interested in building a lighthouse just off the docks?

I'm still able to go, and I'm still building my two parts of the wall I claimed a while back. Hopefully they should be done in the next couple of weeks (waiting on a BL order).

We could just do a blocked city plan and have all buildings be contained in a 32x32 area (large buildings would have a base of 32x32 and then we could have smaller modules that add-up to be 32x32 in area), and then have like 16 wide streets. At least that's the direction I see this heading.
Streets could just be dark tan or light bley with scattered 1x1 round tiles, or something similar. Simple. We could always have sections of street that are parts intensive but something simple that everyone can do is best.

I'm still going. I have 2/3 of the baseplates done. Hopefully I'll be able to finish the third.

Hey gents,
I think it will be easier to do this: I am going to build modules A through E, 8 through 10. So I will build all of the city and dock, similar to our setup last year where Josh and Daniel built the castle.
I plan on building the front gate (C7) as well, and the last two wall modules as nightstalker has committed to two modules so far. What I need right now is people to commit to all the modules from A-E, 1-6. There is relatively little building to these modules, with the exception of the road (c1-c6). Would some brave soul be willing to commit to the road? If someone committed to the entire road, there would be no need to create a standard, as they would have it all.
So here is the official LoR display checklist and what we need based on priority: - someone to claim modules A through E, 1 through 7. These are incredibly low maintenance modules with relatively no building. The standard is dark tan. Feel free to incorporate little splashed of light tan and dark bley rocks throughout. - ships for naval battle (I would be satisfied with 5 decent sized ships although more would be great. I already have one that takes up a whole baseplate) - 15 blue baseplates (ships have a higher priority, as I can order these if necessary but may not have the time to build all the ships) - siege engines and weapons (High General Mythrog Sir Haymar Glen I know you two are very committed to the Waterloo project, but do you have any leftover siege engines from last year you could bring and place on the display?) - A lighthouse on one of the above 15 blue baseplates. Lord Mercat Did you commit to this or was I mistaken? - Troops (these are an incredibly low priority although we will welcome as many as possible)
Additionally, the builders I have are as follows: -Me -Hunter Erickson -nightstalker -Lord Mercat What days do you all plan on being there? Is everyone staying until Sunday breakdown? I will start setup on Wednesday.
Am I missing anyone?
Let's get an updated troop total as well. Give me an approximate total of troops you have for each of the four factions please.
I would absolutely love it if individuals could respond sometime this week. Brickfair is quite close, and I need an idea of how much I will be building. This set-up is totally doable and will have an impressive wow factor.
Finally, are there any interests in any of the following things I mentioned before, which are... -Parts draft -minifig swap
