For the LoR events, I'm down for being in all of them! I usually have surplus amount of stuff lying around for Brickfair (especially cash).

So is the city going to be in a grid layout, with city blocks, or will it be more of an angular, mishmash of buildings? I could see it going either way, but the angular mishmash would be much more complicated.

Hey Zach,
I am thinking there will be the main road that goes into the city, and splits in three directions; north, south, and east. The east path goes to the harbor, while the north and south path run along the wall. Houses and buildings can then be built along the paths. If people are assigned a module then they could decide which direction to place their buildings.

I can't Guarantee this, but I may be able to send a Unit of Lenfald Soilders. This is a big But take heed. And it depends if I get more soilders and If I feel it's worth the Expense of shipping. Just let us know, but they would have to be yellowies. I actually don't have that many Lenfels but if Spencer makes it, he does. ALL: I will definitely participate to the level I did last year (unless you mix fleshie and yellow...in which case I will pretend the entire collab is "display-non-grata" ) I wish I could participate more, but the 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo only takes place once, and Sir Haymar Glen and I plus several others must set up at least 1000 figs on a gigantic display: Brickfair Waterloo DisplayHey, the kids and I just had a funny thought...if Lenfald and the Outlaws really wind up on the same side, then Sir Caelan would have to fight alongside some of his past adversaries like Captain Bladari...and even his Arch Nemesis, The Ice Wizard! Now that would make for some great drama

Cool idea about the music. We could have some kind of medieval-y soundtrack playing, LOTR or something, to sort of complement the display. Well..... The problem with LOTR is that some of the unwashed assumers (the public) will believe that the collab is from LOTR or the Hobbit, despite what we tell them, because they hear the soundtrack playing. No, I suggest that we play something more epic.... like Audiomachine! I could make a playlist of all their best fantasy action songs. Schmidt, I don't really have any ideas for draft sets. Some of the new pirates sets have dark red masonry bricks, those would be worth drafting. I'm fine with almost any sets, as long as they have pieces useful for LoR.

Ok Daniel great. We'll keep an eye on sets to draft as the summer gets here.
I am currently working on a standard for the wall. I will post it when it is finished.

Hey guys, Here is the standard for the wall. Easy. LoR BFVA Collab by SSchmidt--, on Flickr LoR BFVA Collab by SSchmidt--, on Flickr You'll notice there is one stud behind the wall before the next row of baseplates. Also, the top back of the wall has no top. Think Helm's Deep here. The wall is really simple. On the front: There are 6 studs between each slope on the lower section and three studs between each inverted slope on the top. A little bit of depth is all we will need. Please don't overgreeble the walls. Look to Josh and Daniel's castle last year. Let's keep the wall smooth except with the occasional masonry brick thrown in. 95%+ of the wall should be LBG. 5% or so can be light gray. Finally, most of you probably know how, but here is a way to save your bricks when bulking out a landscape for a collab. Here is how I fill out my landscaping with plates: LoR BFVA Collab by SSchmidt--, on Flickr

Let's go ahead and start claiming modules. Please only claim modules if you know for sure you will be there. If there is some question as to whether you will be there, please do not claim modules. Thanks.

D7 and E7. Both of those are straight wall segments; I can cover those two.

If I build a small 16x 16 building scene (blacksmith's shop), could one of you guys bring it to BFVA 2015 for me?

I have an abundance of dark tan plates, so I could take E8 and E9, and I could probably help contribute whatever parts we need for water. And quick question about the plain modules, they don't need much detail since they'll be flooded with figs, right?

Oh wait, I think I misunderstood which half was the city, I'll take E1 and E2 instead

I would love to participate this year. I can't supply anything for the "water," but I would love to build a boat and bring along Drakk around 20 of the Order for the attack! I can also bring some scared townsfolk, and various soldiers if needed (but I think you guys have more than enough of those).
