i am not able to participate, but my only request is that someone makes a trebuchet that is launching goblins armed with swords bigger than them... enthusiastic goblins too! like a lineup of 4 or 5 goblins, waiting to be launched.

Dude, that would be hilarious. .. and considering that the Outlaws are attacking it seems appropriate

SpearralSquid I think we had a mix last year, but the majority were yellow.

My personal opinion is that it would be better just to do all yellows, as I think it makes a build look much more polished and professional to have all one or the other.

I know for a fact I could cover some of the plates for A1-6. I might also be able to cover a straight, wall section provided I have a solid template to follow.
As for troops, I have a ton of crownies (both new and old ones), that I would probably be able to throw into the battle for Garheim (at least 10 of them would be on horses). My Loreesi troops are rather lacking (haven't gotten around to building up those troops yet).
I personally don't see a problem having mixed, skin units. It adds variety, just as long as they are all wearing faction colors. That and my sigfig is not yellow or fleshy so...

I agree that it can work for variety, but in general I think a build looks cleaner overall with one or the other. Not a biggie though

As for Yursuff, if we have enough show up, we could have one ship manned and helmed exclusively by everyone's favorite camel dealer. If anyone remembers that scene from Pirates of the Caribbean where Jack is in Davy Jone's locker and on a ship with other Jacks, each with different levels of dress and gear, that's the direction I'd go. All Yursuffs, but each relatively individual. That is an absolutely hilarious reference to the ship full of Jacks. This is why I like you Zach. Your mind is not normal (that's a total compliment). I think it would be hilarious to have a ship full of Yursuff's near the corner.

I will work on a template for the wall in the next few weeks. I don't have a problem with mixing brown, green, yellow, and all the other heads. It's when you put flesh beside of yellow that I cringe. I would encourage builders to use any color of heads they want other than light flesh. Maybe it's just me, but light flesh paired with yellow makes my skin cringe.

Not involved, but I agree that flesh next to yellow is morally unacceptable.

Not involved, but there would have to be legal action taken if flesh went next to yellow.

i do yellow next to fleshies. i treat them as different races in the world... in my last moc my orks and yellow skinned character made slaves out of the fleshies... i dont think that would go over well at a brick fair.

Yeah, I'm totally fine with having brown and green for orcs and such, but besides that I think we should do all yellow.

High General Mythrog and his army will once again do battle in the halls of BrickFair...........and I'll come along too. You can count me in for sure Sam. I will be able to bring at least one large Troll warship and hopefully two smaller ones. I'll take the lighthouse for sure, if we're all agreed on the inclusion of one. Also I'm interested in doing it least one city section, and possibly a piece of wall. I think we should do only yellow, last year there were no fleshies in the display, and if we did put a mix in I think the unwashed hordes (public) would be confused. (Plus its just plain creepy .) For the past several years there has been an increasing number of BF displayers playing their own music during public hours, and I thought it would be cool if we could play music that fit our display too. We have the music, and can get the player, if you like the idea. I'm interested in the the two part drafts, have you decided which sets they will be? looking great so far!

You sir, have been forever banned and shunned from the world of Brickfair. Kindly go flog yourself and never speak of such nonsense again.

Awesome! I know you will do fantastic for the lighthouse. It doesn't have to be attached to a module. If you want, you can just bring it and we will set it up on whatever module we all think looks best.
You will definitely have a city section. Let me look over our grid and this afternoon we can start assigning modules. That's an awesome idea about the music, I trust your all's judgment on whatever you feel is best.
Have not decided on the sets just yet. Of course, we have Hobbit sets right now, and there are a few good Chima sets worth drafting. Additionally, by the time BF is around there will be Pirates again and may have something worth drafting there. Do you have any sets in mind?

Cool idea about the music. We could have some kind of medieval-y soundtrack playing, LOTR or something, to sort of complement the display.
