I've always been a big fan of the Lego Wizards, and thought it was about time a did a MOC to celebrate this. I recently bought the Brickforge potion bottles featured in the MOC and they were a large inspiration for this scene. I also wanted to try the tire/cauldron technique. Thanks for looking, - andhe

Super awesome! The Wooden support beam seems out of place to me, being at a lower hight than the weapon racks the roof would have a hard time working, as I also said on flickr, the candle is right next to the wood...

This build is seriously awesome! You have some many things that I love to see in builds. The cauldron is sweet as is the fire underneath and I love the contrasting wood structures with the stone walls. Bottles, books, jars, Love it!

Ha! Yeah originally the right wall was meant to be lower, but it looked empty so I added the extra shelf and had to raise the wall. The support beam was mainly meant as a perch for the owl, but I see you point. As for the flame, blame TLG for not making a smaller one! Let just say its.... magic. Thanks David, I was pleased that I could finally use all the bits and bobs I've been collecting! The brickforge potion bottles were definitely the push I needed to actually get round to building something though. Whilst building this one I had a few more ideas for some 'wizarding' builds, so may see if I can make them a reality at some point.

I love it Andy! My favorite detail is the wizard who has piled up two barrels and is attempting to reach something (but will probably end up on his back). Awesome stuff!

Thanks again guys. I'd seen the cauldron technique in a couple of builds on flickr and wanted to see what I could do with it. The cheese slope shelf supports were a late addition when I realised I didn't have enough brown inverted 2x1 slopes, but I actually prefer the way it turned out.
Thanks Schmidt, I'm glad someone has pointed that guy out, originally he was going to be on a ladder, until I couldn't come up with a reasonable solution. I like my builds to be 'shake proof'. All the minifigs are attached on studs, and the shelf climbing wizard has his foot on the lower shelf, which is keeping him in place, if somewhat loosely...

I love the attention to detail in this build. Sure, people have picked out a couple of tiny details that are slightly inconsistent, but honestly when I look at a creation like this I don't notice those kinds of things. I see the believable texture of the stone walls, the woodwork, the magical elements, and so forth, and I'm drawn in completely. Great work!

I just had a second look, and I just love that raised walkway! That makes the build!

If I didn't say it before...I will say it again. Andy this is one brilliant build. Great job and the details on the raised section look wonderful.
