this is the first torso decal i have designed. it is a beggar, any suggestions would be appreciated. this decal is designed to be put onto a coloured torso, not a yellow one, well, also should avoid a blue one so the top doesnt look stupid, unless the top colour is changed. this is a single side torso, i drew all the work myself, honestly, i am fairly happy as how the rope belt turned out. i am currently halfway through a full body decal design for a jeweler or pompous noble. Beggar Torso - watermark by Pyro5050, on Flickr any suggestions are welcomed. current on the wait list, TorsosSailor torso and legs, Alchemist Torso Cooper (barrel maker) Torso Shop keeper Torso Farm Hand torso and legs Barber (not sure if i want to do "hair covered boots" for a legs decal) Bee Keeper torso (gonna use the deep sea diver helm for the bee keeper i think) Butcher torso and legs Gambler torso (with cards stashed, or big bag o coins or the like) Prostitute torso and legs (i am hesitant to make this and share it as i think it might be NSFW / many LEGO enthusiasts would judge) Scribe torso Custom Cook Torso Pig Keeper Chicken Keeper Torso(covered in loose feathers) Torso and Legs Head Arms of a guy that was tarred and feathered Doctor (similar to butcher, just with a saw or smaller knife on the torso instead of a butcher knife, same legs probably) Banker torso Minter Torso (similar to a blacksmith but with gold flakes on him and a coin stamp on his belt) Any suggestions for Torsos Welcome TattoosMurderer Tattoos Pirate Tattoos Mark of the Beast Tattoos Tile Prints1x1 round Cobblestone Replicate 1x1 round lock (maybe, i have quite a few cant see it being useful really) 2x2 Round Cobblestone FlagsCreate a few custom flag prints such as a Dragon warrior, a few authentic medieval pieces. suggestions welcome CapesStriped Capes both good condition and tattered Solid colour capes both good and tattered in blue, red, green, black, white, tan, olive, any other colours i can find. i am thinking of doing decorative letters for Capes as well, so that if say Erathor Pridenar wanted a cape with a decorative P on it, he could get one, suggestions welcome! Thanks guys, i am loving this,

Looking good!
I suggest a new thread dedicated to this effort so that the chatter thread can be for more random stuff and this won't get jumbled in and lost / become difficult to follow along with your progress.

So tomorrow we are on our way to the city... and i have no money. it will be the first time since i got back into lego that i will do a trip to the city and not hit the lego store up... makes me a little sad, but at the same time, in two weeks time i will be back to the city, to get on a plane and head to SanDiego! WHOOOOOO! where i will have about a grand to waste on Lego and anything else my heart desires.

"Waste"? I think you meant "invest"! Lego is always able to be re-sold for close to retail value, if not more, so I always use that to justify in my mind the thousands I've spent on it over the last 4-5 years. Of course, you'd have to take the time to list each part of your collection individually to make that kind of return, but the possibility is there, at least.

So i am also a avid vintage video game collector, i recently sold two PSX consoles, guy messages me 3 weeks later saying they are not working, i am suspicious but like to make people happy, so i say alright, i will do a trade, two consoles for two consoles, confirm they (my two going out) work. guy shows, i take a look at the consoles, one is beat up, much worse than what i would ever sell, i mention it to em, and they get all offended, i offered to honour the trade i agreed too, because heck i can fix anything so i am not worried, buddy is all in a huff and starts saying "it dont matter, we make a grand a day, yadda yadda yadda" and then storms off saying if you are gonna be making accusations like that we dont even want to deal with you. leaves everything saying "it isnt worth nothing to em"
buddy leaves, i took the two broke consoles down and hooked em up, BAM they work perfectly, so even after some abuse, what appears to be dropped and such, they still work... one has what seems to be oil on it as well... luckily i can clean that easily.
i am baffled. they got a devil of a deal on em, over $500 worth of games, consoles, controllers, accessories ect for $160... and then this... i am just... wow...

Welcome to humanity! A couple years ago I sold a bunch of vintage sterro equip to a guy for like 600. It was worth almost double. My original add had a pionner reel to reel which I sold the previous week and amended my add. Guy comes over looks at equipment loads it up gives me money, and drives off. 45 min later he calls me pissed off like I had taken him cause he swore that I told him the reel to reel was there, which I didnt. And I told him all sales were final. He threaten to drop everything back off if I dont give him $300 back. I explained that all sales were final and I would give him $75 back because i am a nice guy. ( I had allready knocke da $150 off asking price) anyway, long story short, made me loath humainity even more, he got his $75 back an I never heard from him again.

In other news, after thanksgiving weekend here in canada (Oct 13th) my wife and i had some serious talks. one of the things that resulted out of it was my discomfort with my current career path. that i am now turning 30 (this sunday actually, i will be in LegoLand for my 30th!) and i have been at the top of my current career path since i was 25-26. i accomplished many of my personal goals and am stagnated. as well, it was also discussed with my wife that i am feeling more and more trapped at my house, due to clients in the community and such. so we decided it is time to move. so i started job hunting, in every single direction. We are looking for different jobs, both in our fields and new opportunities for us, and are looking to sell almost everything we own, though i told her i will not sell some of my video games and no lego leaves (why would i plan to spend $500-$800 on lego just to sell it?) but this also means that over the next two-three months i might not be as present online as i could be, or i might disappear for a few weeks at a time due to no internet. honestly, it is a scary move, as i am jumping for a 85,000 a year job to something signifigantly less probably, i am leaving a job i really do love, and look forward to going to every day, but i realized that i am leaving those jobs so that my wife and i can enjoy ours lives together more, instead of being stuck in a house and scared of vandalism, needing alarms on our house, cameras everywhere, and on the police rapid response network because of death threats against me... time for a simple life... also, i should have two freebuilds and stories up on friday, they wont be big, but yeah, at least get me my 4 points for October then i can join a guild in November when i am home from vacation.

I am leaning towards network admin, or computer tech support/technician. But I to am curious, cold also be a metel dealer, or cash advance guy... Bounty hunter.... who knows but $85,000 a year is nothing to scoff at.

Bounty hunter would be epic. I'm with you in guessing network admin/tech support, Curt.

i am actually an addictions counsellor that specializes in high risk clients (murderers, rapists, overall evil people) and de-escalating situations that are outside of normal realms. I am that stupid guy that walks into situations when other run out. i deal with people using crack in front of my office, armed robbers, and try to work with them to get social support, help them with their addictions, transport, ect. as such, when things don't work out, i sometimes get blamed... like my last guy, robbed a grocery store at gun point, i help him out as much as i can as he is awaiting trial, trial is actually soon, but i used all the resources available, he got caught smoking pot and crack, instant breech of conditions of release. now i am informed by police that he uttered threats against me in jail because i didn't help him... like i put the crack pipe in his mouth. i have some training in police negotiation, non-violent crisis intervention, various counselling tactics, survival skills both in house and out of scope (in a building and in the wild in case i am taken hostage) on the bright side, only had one gun pulled on me, and one knife. more threats of violence and vandalism to house and such. i am not shy about my life at all, i am very open with my career and such, cept i just found out that i actually make a bit more than 85k... to be fair though, 40%+ heads to governments for taxes, and i live in a place where the average rent has increased over $1000 in the last year to over $2300 for a 2 bedroom place. so it is expensive.
