Do you ever run into the problem of having dust collect on your minifig shelf? More so i am looking for a solution. Dusting works, if I do it enough, but I have taken to keeping covers, whether hand towels or dry-cleaning bags to keep dust off

I haven't run into that yet. I think my Lego room doesn't get much dust though, for whatever reason.

lucky, although I like(d) to keep my builds out in the open. That and when I am building or working with minifigures I usually claim the space in my family's living room in front of the television, and they might dwell there for several days as I work on stuff

I've got an update coming for my space. Just need to get some of the clutter cleaned up so that it's presentable for photos.

Finally got my Lego room about as clean and organized as it's likely going to be, so here are the photos! Smaller of two build areas and parts storage. Corner shelf needs work still. Larger build space and photography area. I can do photos on the smaller table also, since I have modular lights, but the additional task lighting here makes this the better spot for pics. Main storage area. Mostly organized, but of course there's the always-present "unsorted bin". My Lego avatar, comissioned for me by my girlfriend as a Christmas present (That's an Aaron Rodger's Green Bay Packers football jersey, for those of you who don't follow American football)

One day I'll sort my building area enough to display here... but for now it remains a mess! In the meantime, inspired by AK's minifig display, I've put together a display frame. I've been searching for a way to display some of my minifigs for a while now. My wife suggested this idea she found on one of the blogs she visits called Frugal Fun for Boys and Girls. They have tons of great Lego ideas and we have tried quite a few out with our son. Anyway the display uses a frame from Ikea, so relatively easy to source (even here down under!) and 56 2x4 bricks that you have to be willing to sacrifice to the Kragle. Although it took us multiple attempts to get the spacing right, once we had a template the rest was pretty easy (although the pedantic amoung you will notice that one brick slipped pretty bad during the gluing process...) Anyway here are 56 of my Roawian figs, starting with King Chartres and Queen Emmaline and the four current faction leaders. My collection is still quite Lenfel centric, although Loreos is catching up... Most of the Lenfel high Lords are featured as well as my Lenfel and Loreesi main characters.

Already seen and faved on flickr but couldn't resist commenting here as well.
I've got one of these frames (or possibly a slightly smaller one) and this has reinvigorated me to complete the project. Are these figs just for display or do you have some access to them?
I did my yellow star wars, LOTR and Marvel figs as I don't use them for parts.

Thanks andhe, I've left the glass out so that I can access them as required. I think eventually it will be for display - but now I use the parts too much! I was thinking of doing a Star Wars display at some stage...

I am ever so slowly getting sorting chipped away... It is the bane of every AFOL. Got some more sterlite drawers, and another stack on. Making progress but it is slow. How's everyone else? Jordan that is a nice layout you have going on

I will soon be in the process of sorting my entire room, which is good as I have several boxes and stashes of lego all around, several of which are dusty (sacrilege!) but sorting is my goal, as is developing a better way to display/store them so that they wont get dusty when I leave them built

I have been slowly working away at sorting out my non castle colors, made some decent progress, but I still have a good 10 pounds or so to go through.

My gosh This is a very private thread! I cant take pictures of it cause it is really...puh...chaotic at the moment....but: Overall i am a huge collector of all kind of pieces...when i would have more time (work and university are taking much of it) i would probably try something like a review channel on youtube or something. Right now i live in a 16 sqare meters room with all my lego stuff I also work near a lego store so it is pretty hard not to visit it sometimes I will definetely take some pictures from my troops and my collection when i got more time. Some day i will move to a bigger living space....then i hopefully will have my hobby room where i can start to sort my stuff a bit.
