AK_Brickster , thank you for sharing your minifig shelf. I finally got around to making one and I absolutely love it. I will almost certainly be making a second sometime this year. (Btw, is that a customized Rohan shield in your pick? It looks gold around the rim.) image (41) by Tony, on Flickr

Yep. Gold around the rim and on the back. Wasn't interested in including any dark red in that fig.
Your shelf looks great! I'm glad you like it. I love mine as well.

Bumpity, bump, bump... So my wife and I spent about $80 this last week to get some sterlite storage drawers. They are wheeled and fit under our folding tables We found 5 drawer units at target for $15. 4 smaller drawers, 1 larger bottom drawer so be got 2. Also got a 3 drawer all large drawer from walmart for $10. Got 1. I also got 4 3600 serries plano fish tackle box's for about $2.50 each from walmart, over 50% off. And got 4 of the 3700 serries plano boxs again over 50% off for about $3.30 each. Great for mini figures and accessories Going to go an get another 5 drawer unit for me on tuesday. Sorting and orginize going well. Hipe to be building mocs again soon

You'll have to share a pic once you get all of that storage configured, Curt! Sounds like some good deals were had.

Was Planning to have a couple just no time to post pics recently. Truth be knowen I have allready eaten up a lot of space. Yes there were some great deals, and I still have an eye out for some others. Need some more "stack on" drawers. For small parts. We also got a label maker so we can label all our bins too

As Asked a couple quick snap shots of the Lego Area; Here are my latest Sorting Bins, one is a smaller 5 drawer unit, My wife also has one of these and a 3 drawer unit of the same size. These fit great under our tables. The other is a 4 drawer unit. The 4 drawer fits my baseplates nicely 32x32 that is. And there is room behind the drawers to store unoppened unsorted sets also. I also found these Plano box's over 50% of at walmart and these will be great for mini figs and accessories. I got 4 of each. I also got 2 sets of black Light duty plastic shelving from Home Depot, There are ment to be 4 shelf units but I combined them to a 5 shelf unit and a 3 shelf unit instead. Thats it for now. Back to sorting

Those Plano cases are nice, I use them for weapons and accessories.
So then, does anybody have any tips for packing and moving a collection to a new home? Never done this before so I'm kind of anxious!

Isundir we all start somewhere Schmidt, it depends how far. How you were packed for brick fair will certinly work. Also get some palette wrap, aka large roll of serian wrap and wrap all parts boxes well . Thats what I have seen and what I have done. Works out well

I'd love to make something like this, but then I'd really want to keep it dust free, anybody have any idea's for that?

Can of spray air, or an aircompressor with air nozel. Mini vacume, etc... I've heard that can break down a brick's stacking capabilities.
