This fortification was build two month ago for the Colossal Castle Contest, but I forgot to post it in any anglish speaking forums, because I was kind of burned out after the Colossal Castle Contest. This was my last build for the contest, I was building at it three complete days (and nights) to get it done before the contest time was over. I finally manged it and I liked the result, imho this was one of my top builds for the CCC, even if it got no honorable mention. The building itself is an orc fortifcation, because I always wanted to build that, and of course I wanted to use my new troops. I hope you like it ! For all those itnerested you can see a complete overview of my builds for CCCXI following this link: Greets Disco

I can't believe this didn't get an honorable mention. I'm pretty sure that this was my favorite of all your entries. The icy outpost feel is really terrific!

At least you got MB out of that fine set of work you did late last year. Can't wait to see your entries for the next GC.

I have to agree with AK and Caelan. The MOC is great, especially the rockwork and the ice. Looking forward to more of your MOCs!

Wow, that is great! I love the way you made the steps to look like they had been hewn out of otherwise pre-existing and uneven stone. They're functional but not fancy, which is just what I would expect in an orcish fort. The rounded palisade walls, the rock work, the water, and the snow are also some great touches that help to make the overall creation feel earthy and real.

Paul, I think you are one of the best at creating castle scenes in a wintry environment. The ice on the water is just plain superb. I love the new orc minifigs, and I think the structures you have in place for them look very rustic and shabby, just how an orc would have built them! Your warg pen is fantastic, and my favorite part of the entire build are the steps you have in dark bley. Fantastic entry, you deserved to be Master Builder this year

I loved this build when I first saw it. Your frame is awesome, the transitions in the environment work so well and the fortifications are great. This almost looks like an evil mini Edoras. I bet you could pull off a sweet version of the Golden Hall.

Thanks for all your comments, I am glad you like that creation and the effort I put into it. This almost looks like an evil mini Edoras. I bet you could pull off a sweet version of the Golden Hall. The evil Edoras thought is creative. But I will never build a version of the golden Hall, because it already has been build a couple of times by talented builders. But never say never

I must have missed this one back in the flurry of the CCC. Great stuff, you don't see enough orc builds in my opinion. I like that you've mixed them up a bit with the black mohawks. As mentioned above, the steps are a real highlight for me.

This is actually my favourite of your MOCs, so it must be awesome! I showed it to my brothers, who asked why I gasped in astonishment whilst on Flickr, and they often ask to see it again!

Fantastic work Disco, this is one of my favorite of your entries! The water to ice transition is fantastic!

I think this is one of the best wooden castle's I've seen. The reddish brown/dark brown combination works really well and the general architectural style fits the orcs nicely
