Hey guys, it looks like this thread needs some action. This is a sailing ship that I worked on and completed last year. She is the biggest project I have ever worked on and it took a lot of time and patience to get her right. All the rigging was hand tied knot by knot. Her length is about 30in and she is about 27in. in height. LEGO ship-building is a really fun thing to do is you have the time and money for it. Hope you enjoy!

That is a really nice ship! Hand-tying all of those knots would have made me go insane. You must have the patience of a saint!

Yes, it really is time consuming work, but I usually listened to music and made sure to do little bits at a time. I must admit that there were times when I wanted to throw it all in a box and quit. The end result though is very nice!

The ship is awesome, and your level of patience is truly astounding. I think I personally would have given up after 3 or 4 knots. CCG

I guess my best character trait is patience then? Ship-building is a lot a fun and if you have the time and money, I'd recommend you go for it. Thanks Guys!

Great ship! The blue & yellow balustrade is very well done, and make the ship looks like a XVII/XVIII century galleon, what is fantastic! And awesome knots!

Wow, this is great! I love it, and that rigging must have taken forever! Give this man a cookie!

That is a really nice ship! Hand-tying all of those knots would have made me go insane. You must have the patience of a saint! Truly. This is one of the main things that has kept me from ever doing a fully rigged ship. (When I built the Black Bat, I was glad it was microscale and I could get by without rigging.)

Had you described the color scheme to me up front, I probably would have said that it would look too garish or fake, but you've pulled it off exceptionally well. Great build!

Moph98 - Thanks! I love cookies.... Sean - Thanks for your compliments! The reason for choosing yellow and blue was because they were colours that I wouldn't need in any castle themed builds and I had quite a few of them. I do agree that tying all the knots is somewhat a long process but the end result looks great. Sir Valiant~
