Because I can't just let those Queen's soldiers pillage Garheim! 32x62 studs, so an 'Unrestricted' entry.

Hi guys. Here is my unrestricted entry for GCVIII. It is 48 x 96 or to simplify it two light gray baseplates. Also to avoid confusing my name, if you do not know my old name on flickr like it is on Merlins beard was Erickson_hunter. It is now ~Tyrant~ (Sorry if that's too off topic) www.flickr.com/photos/112294623@N04/14877387195/

Here is my entry for the Restricted Category With Garheim in ashes and the Queen's troops still occupying the land a more subtle offensive approach is required. Kroth Stonegrinder has only a few crossbow men at his side, but with the help from a Lenfald light infantry unit and the element of surprise this group might be able to get the upper hand on the a heavy infantry unit that controls the local farm lands. The combined unit has gathered in a burned out farmhouse right along the patrol route of the Queen's special orc heavy infantry unit. The trap is about to be sprung. 32x32 restricted. For story, go to Flickr, or wait until tomorrow, when I'll post it here. An Unexpected Salvation
LoR - An Unexpected Salvation by Brickninja!, on Flickr LoR - An Unexpected Salvation by Brickninja!, on Flickr The riders closed the circle around the helpless knight as more red-clad foot soldiers arrived. The orcs, convinced their work was done, closed in for the kill, preparing to devour Sir Ian Ferguson. The leader of the Queen's men, however, knew otherwise. His longsword swept around and cleanly beheaded the first orc. The others halted, confused. "Not yet, ye filth," the red-cloaked man spat as the lifeless orc body slumped to the ground. "Queen wants this 'un alive." Sir Ian jolted. Me, wanted by the Queen?, he thought. Well I do suppose at the moment she wants all Garhims…dead "Well, Ferguson," The Captain directed his attention sharply to the Garhim knight. "Ye've been given' us quite a bit of trouble. Personally I wouldn't think twice about lettin' them orcs clean ye out right now, but we've finally tracked ye down, an', we gotta take ye back to Lionshead Queen's orders." The mounted Captain looked coldly down at the shabby man. "Shackle him." One of the foot soldiers approached Sir Ian with a pair of cuffs. "Aye boss--- 'EY, what's that?!" A horn sounded, clear and piercing through the crisp, chill air. Sir Ian knew it was now or never, and, punching the soldier hard, he bolted in the direction of the horn. The captain screamed: "Get him-- WHAT THE BLAZES?!" Over the snow drift bounded an armored man astride a strange creature, like an enormous wolf, and brandishing an equally terrifying battle-axe. He was quickly followed by a squad of soldiers, wielding spears and axes, and-Sir Ian breathed a sigh of relief- proudly flying the brilliant blue of Garheim. Thundering across the snow not 15 feet away were a company of horsemen. An orc was instantly relieved of its head. "CHARGE!!!" bellowed the figure on the wolf-creature, and the Queen's men, taken completely by surprise, were overwhelmed and pushed back. "STAND, YOU SCUM!!" hollered the captain, but most of his men broke and fled. "A fine horse you have there," proclaimed the mounted Garhim, and, with one mortal heave of his axe, knocked the captain from his mount. Sir Ian stood, in shock, still not quite able to process what had just happened. The man slid from the wolf creature as an orange-haired Garhim jogged up, clutching a spear. "Enemy has been routed completely, Sir," the man proclaimed. "Good, Jack. Loot the slain." Sir Ian could not help but stare as the man removed his kettle helm, an unusual choice for a knight, and swaggered forward on a peg leg. "Your reputation precedes, you, Sir Ferguson. The name's Sir Tarminus." He extended a rough hand. Sir Ian coughed, then:"How did you…" Aye!" Sir Tarminus laughed."The scruffy looks and pursuit by Queen's men was a dead giveaway."

Please post linked images, even if they are just thumbnails, to this thread. All entries should be linked here for convenience when it comes time to compile the lists of entries. We don't want to have to leave this thread to go looking for them. Thanks! Sorry for mucking this up! Here are my entries: Vignette entry - Abominable snowmen:The chink of metal and crunch of fresh powder underfoot grew louder as their victim approached. The queen's soldier stalked through the early morning mist, rubbing his hands together despite his heavy load. Ice crystals formed on his mask, belying his heavy breathing. Sithric barely moved under his undyed woolen cape, hidden from view by the makeshift screen of twigs and snow. His garhim companion grunted as he shifted his weight on the branch above, careful not to give away their position. The soldier got closer. At the last moment, Sithric pounced, jumping up to his full height in a shower of snow and aiming his shortbow straight at the soldier's throat. A second later, a bolt from above ended any thoughts the soldier had of running. "You're going to tell us everything". The soldier nodded... Unrestricted entry - Kråkereir (52x60):The captured soldier had been most cooperative, up to the point that the garhim soldier, Bjorn, had cut his throat. "Kråkereir. The old fortress is a half-day's march from here." Bjorn slipped his still-dripping dagger back into its scabbard. "If they're prepared, the place can be easily defended. Gather your archers and meet me here." He strode off before Sithric could reply. "I know just the guys." He plucked an arrow from his quiver, noted its warped shaft, and shot it into the corpse's still-twitching head. ***** Lord Hildgard pressed his back against the fortress' wall, breathing heavily but glad of his armour. Kråkereir was supposed to be deserted. Instead, the walls were now bristling with defenders, appearing out of nowhere at one guards' dying cry. His soldiers were now caught in a deadly crossfire from the walls and the tower, cowering behind their shields as they tried to press forward. At least he'd issued shields, he mused. A fresh shout caught his gaze - one of his soldiers flew back, a four-foot goose-fledged shaft protruding from his chest. "Lenfels! Where the hell did they come from?". Scraping from above caused him to leap to the side, just as a cauldron emptied its contents down the curtain wall. "This just got interesting..."

Are microscale mocs okay? I didn't see anything against them in the rules but I just want to make sure. Sorry your question got missed! Well since you are correct in saying that nothing against it was mentioned, you can certainly do a micro-scale as long as it still contains your character too.

Any chance we could extend the deadline by just one or two days? I'm trying to make time to work on my Unrestricted, but currently I'm in the process of moving into a new house, so my Lego is packed up and I don't have much time to build. And if the deadline stays the same, does it mean have to get it done before the 17th or before the end of the 17th?
