Here is my entry for the restricted thing, just a battle between the Queen's scum and a few Garhims, Loreesi and Lenfels. Couldn't find my yellow flag, so the flag from Lenfald is two times dark green, sorry. Will edit this post with a link to the topic. Hope you like it! Edit: here is the link: link

Strong entries so far, keep them coming! Regarding the winter/summer issue, is there a defined season in Garheim when these events are taking place? I assume that most significantly populated parts of Garheim have to get at least a few months of real summer (like we do in northern Scandinavia) to sustain the population?

Scratch that, my entry was only 40x48 so doesn't count for any category. At 5 days to render, I'm not making it bigger! Guild Hall it is

The seasons there mirror the northern hemisphere and south Garheim is more moderate than the northern regoins. Northern Scandinavia would be a good equivalent. That said, I was hoping to see some more northern builds that would showcase the snow, but I understand if not everyone has enough white parts to pull that off.

My entry to the Restricted category of the GCVIII - Garheim in Ashes and Part 2 of my GCVIII story (I know; I'm weird). It's 29x29 studs. My entry to the Restricted category of the GCVIII - Garheim in Ashes. It's 29x29 studs.
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-White River Falls+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- The morning sun peeked over the mountain tops as a battalion of Queen's Men marched down the winding switchback trail, their breath frosting the air as gravel crunched underfoot. The group had made their way to a small crossing of the White River, a turbulent rapid fed by snowmelt that could not be forded without a bridge. "Lucky we got one 'ere," thought Selmy, the grizzled dragon knight captain. "I guess them Garhims are good at sumfin' after all." Suddenly a high-pitched whistle broke the silence, followed by a wet thud as an arrow sprouted from the neck of a dragon knight. "It's a trap! To arm-" the soldier at the rear cried, his warning cut short as a blade slid across his throat. The captain looked on in awe and disbelief as the hidden assailants seemingly melted out of the nearby rocks and scrubby trees, his small battalion getting smaller by the second. "I will NEVER submit!" the Captain growled, grinding his teeth as he brandished his sword at the assassins. He could see now that they were a mix of Garhims and Lenfels, each dressed in dun clothing yet still bearing the insignias of their respective houses. "I will never surrender. I won't be taken alive, scum." "Well that's lucky for you," said Caedric Moore with a smirk. "We weren't planning to." -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- C+C Welcome! Ronin

My entry to the Vignette category of the GCVIII and Part 1 of my GCVIII story. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-Jahrton Bay-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- "Well, if it isn't Cedric Archer! It isn't, is it? I know, you're Caedric Moore up here," laughed the green-clad sailor as he walked down the gangplank of the longship. "It's great to see you, Baelion," Caedric said with a grin as he grasped the Lenfel's hand. "Up here? I'm Caedric Moore everywhere but Lenfald." "Eh, fake name or not, you'll always be Cedric Archer to me. The man who saved my life and scared the Queen's men from my town - I can't thank you enough." "Oh, you know, I was just passing through," Caedric said with a wink. "Whatever it was, I owe you a debt - and I mean to repay it. My fellow rangers and I are at your disposal, Captain." "Excellent. I think I can find a use for you." The two men continued their discussion as they helped Baelion's deckhands unload their cargo onto the icy pier. Jahrton Bay wasn't as abandoned as Galanir's troops thought, and Caedric was glad that the rumor they'd spread had stuck. The salt spray of the cold sea lapped against the pylons while gulls cried overhead accompanied by the creaking of the great wooden longship as it rocked on the waves. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- More pics on my flickr, including a shot of the base where my faction standard and colors are (I didn't want it in this picture ) C+C Welcome! Restricted entry: War deprived much of Garhiem of its joy. The young, the old, and those too fair to fight were left to fend for themselves, to labor and to toil. Everywhere I went it was the same. There was no cheer in the halls, no celebrations, and hope was like a clear sky in a parched land. Until that day when we saw the riders of Loreos upon their mighty horses striding through the land. “The Loreesi! The Loreesi!” The crowds shouted as if someone spotted a cloud in the sky. They looked marvelous. Oh, to have a horse and ride with them. -Baard

Are microscale mocs okay? I didn't see anything against them in the rules but I just want to make sure.
