I'll PayPal you like $55.00 to also cover shipping. That should be good, right?

Hey all, Here is a little information regarding the draft: Starting at the end of August my life will start to become extremely busy with starting college. Therefore I would like to start the sorting/set parting process within the next few weeks. Once the list of participants is finalized I will PM you with a cost estimate of the return shipping, along with my address, so that you can send me your sets. ~RBC I was not expecting on starting this draft untill sept at the earliest. Its up to RBC however. I dont see a need to rush the start of the draft. As a participant yes the waiting can suck, but as an orginizer/host take the time to get everything done right. RBC - Can you please please clarify your thoughts on the timing? I am seeing a disconnect here.

I know that this is a long way off, but can we shoot for the last week in August?
I've only sorted 4 of the 16 sets!

Last week of August? Just MHO put it at Sept 1st, give your self a little wiggle room. If everything is sorted before then we could of course start. However I don't think it would be realistic, Nor do I think you should rush. Just My 2 cents. I am okay waiting I have enough on my plate right now anyways. Plus you wont have my 2 sets till mid Aug.

Guys I am sorry, but I am going to have to withdraw from this draft. I am swamped right now, and come September my schedule is even more hectic. I am sorry, but this just means more pieces for you

Folks .... I'm somewhat perplexed as start of the draft being pushed out so far out. I recall during signup something about RBC wanting to do it before college starts. IIRC there was mention on getting it done in August? (But maybe I'm remembering wrong) Now we see the deadline moving out and people dropping as their time availability changes.
I dont think we should was that long to start the draft. I propose that the draft gets started earlier and once the last set arrives it can be sorted out added into the respective lots.
That way we will get a jump start on the draft (which will take longer anyways as we are dealing with two sets). Dont forget the trading that happens afterwards and then the time needed to be spent on packing and shipping.. I would hate to see it drag out into October November time frame before the lots get shipped out... at that point this stops being fun for me and becomes something that annoys me through dragging on (ok... maybe I'm the only one that feels thatway but I figured I will put it out there....)

Agreed lidzik. I am worried for RBCustoms point of view that hosting this is going to be a hard starting college. I had include the quote from RBC with the planned early August start date in my previous post. I know that I had hoped that this would have started already (or been close). I want to be respectful and I don't know everyone's situation, but I hope that having the sets ordered should be done by now. Of course after the sets arrived then we need to give RBC enough time to sort the lots. RBC when are you planning on developing the lot list, before or after you sort? In addition, I think that the actual draft could take longer than normal since there are some pretty big timezone differences and more lots. I know that like ludzik I will be at least frustrated if this drags into October much less November.

It was my understanding that this draft was going to be a fall draft. Thus starting in september this woukd have gone alot faster if it were just 1 set. Being that it is now 2 sets sorting will take a few weeks.
RBC if it helps since i havent ordered sets and wont be able to till next week. You can drop me from the draft. It woukd help with sorting and allow you to start this sooner.
This takes time guys. And having 2 sets to sort is a lot to take care of, and since RBC is starting school at end of aug. This will be tough for him.
RBC let me know if you want me to participate or drop I will go either way.

I can only speak for myself, I am not wanting you to drop lilcurt. Sorting will take as long as it takes for RBC. I have sorted for multiple in person drafts with larger sets than this in a group of two or three people in less than an hour. Of course in an online draft there is packaging and the like that is needed.

Well i can tell you truthfully, when i hosted my saving grace with the sort was my wife. We sorted tsets at a time and it took 2 hours per set of 3. Had she not helped it would have taken about 2 weeks for me to sort sets with my work schedual. Sorting is a bear when you are doing it for your self. And we are looking at sorting in the neighborhood of 6000 pieces. So yes it will take RBC as long as it takes him. Like I said I will go either way but its going to be a couple weeks for my sets to get to rbc. I have to wait for payday next week till i can even think to order.

Just an outsider's suggestion, if someone spotted lil curt the sets now, he could Paypal the funds to that person later. If for some reason curt can't fill his obligation (which I know he will, since we've all traded with him before), then that person would get double the picks for the draft or some other equitable adjustment. This would speed things up considerably.

Curt, please do not drop out unless you feel the need to. Hopefully I can get the sets I have sorted out this week. We can start hopefully next week, maybe. Like the others suggested, we don't need to have all the sets sorted to start!
