My entry for Garheim's LC 19

Story:
I was given command of the forces on the wall around Avron. The Queen's forces, which out number mine 10 to 1, are advancing on the city...
"Look sir, the Queen's army!" A soldier next to me pointed at the red and black mass marching into the valley where my city, Avron, lay. The evil army marched through the outskirts of the city, burning homes and killing all they came across. Seeing the Queen's army looting and burning I felt more furious and helpless then ever before. From my vantage point on the wall, all
I could do is watch them burn and pillage my town...
"FIRE" One of the Queen's men screamed. Their trebuchet's arm swung, launching a rock at the wall. The battlements just a few feet away exploded.
"CHARGE!!!" Another enemy voice yelled. I stood, wiping the dust from my face, to see the Queen's forces surging forward at our wall. My archers fired, killing many of the enemy, but not slowing their advance. I put on my helm and turned to my men.
"DRAW SWORDS!!!" I bellowed as the first enemies scrambled up the ladder.
"FOR GARHEIM!!!" I yelled, ant then plunged into the melee, my battle ax swinging. I cut down the first few men, but more enemies just swarmed up the ladders. I cut down another man, struggling to keep from getting pushed back by the flow of enemies.
"HOLD THE LINE!!!" I yelled at my men as I swung my ax over my head, cleaving a man's helm and head in two. "WE CAN"T LET THEM PASS!!!"
"We can't hold the wall!" My lieutenant shouted, while stabbing another dragon soldier. "There are to many!"
"No! We must hold fast!" I yelled in reply. A soldier slashed at me, but I parried the blow on my ax, then swinging my ax to cut him down in a spray of blood.

"ARGHHH!!!" I heard a scream as my lieutenant went down under the blow of a dragon knight.
"NOOOOO!" I screamed, then struck at him with a swift overhead ax blow, which he attempted to parry with his shield. My ax hit the shield, splintering it and killing the man who hid behind it.
I saw my lieutenants lifeless body, heard the screams of my dying men, and saw the relentless enemies pouring over the battlements on their ladders. I knew we couldn't hold the wall. I made my decision.
"RETREAT! FALL BACK TO THE KEEP!" I yelled over the din of the battle, turning from the enemy to flee to the relative safety of the keep...
